In spring of 1996, Bill & Carol Foley purchased 1,000 acres of lush and fertile earth within the then relatively unknown Sta. Rita Hills region of Santa Barbara County. Their plan – produce hand-crafted Chardonnay and Pinot Noir that reflected the best of California’s Central Coast. Named for their two daughters – Lindsey & Courtney – Lincourt Vineyards was born, and with it, the beginning of Foley Family Wines & Spirits.

In the 25 years since, Foley Family Wines & Spirits has grown into one of the world’s largest producers of fine wine, adding some of the industry’s most valuable wineries, located in the most recognized winemaking regions, including Napa, Sonoma, the Pacific Northwest, and New Zealand. Today, the Foley Family Wines & Spirits portfolio boasts a number of the most-celebrated names in wine, including Chalk Hill Estate, Chalone, Ferrari-Carano, and Sebastiani.

Position Summary:
The Sales Planning Manager will be responsible for managing wholesale pricing, demand planning, and inventory management within the wholesale channel. This role focuses on creating a cohesive commercial strategy to drive revenue growth. The Sales Planning Manager will collaborate closely with the wholesale sales organization and cross-functional departments such as Marketing, Operations, and Finance.
** This role is 100% remote/US base. Must reside near top 20 airport or near corporate office in Santa Rosa, CA. **

Key Responsibilities:
•  Wholesale Pricing: Manage pricing strategies using Vistaar to optimize revenue and margin within the wholesale channel while adhering to brand standards of pricing
•  Demand Planning: Utilize Claret for accurate demand planning to align with sales forecasts and inventory needs.
•  Inventory Management: Act as the wholesale sales logistics liaison to ensure smooth inventory management and eliminate shortfalls.

Experience Base:
•  Wine & Spirits Commercial Category Expertise: Demonstrated experience in the three-tier beverage alcohol industry, with deep knowledge of wine and spirits. Expertise in national pricing models, value chain analysis, P&L management, distributor financial models, and state-specific compliance is preferred.

•  Supply and Operations Planning (S&OP): Proven cross-functional collaboration experience in supply and demand value chains within the wine and spirits industry. Ability to create accurate sales forecasts, monitor performance, and conduct in-depth sales analysis to identify opportunities and provide strategic recommendations.

•  Supply Chain and Logistics: Extensive experience in supply chain management, focusing on reducing inventory shortfalls and compressing lead times from supplier to consumer.

Knowledge, Skills, and Other Abilities:
•  In-depth knowledge of the key wine & spirits categories.
•  Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial finance, sales planning, or sales operations within the wine, spirits, or beverage industry.
•  Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, with excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently.
•  Strong analytical skills to interpret complex data and make informed, data-driven decisions.
•  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
•  Proficiency in IT, including Microsoft Office Suite and cloud-based computing, along with experience in sales forecasting and CRM software.
•  Highly organized with a strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
•  Must possess a valid driver’s license, maintain current auto insurance coverage, and have a clean driving record.
•  Ability to lift and transport a 50 lbs. case of wine or spirits.
