Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Production Manager to oversee the manufacturing process in our cooperages. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in production management, excellent leadership skills, and a keen eye for detail. This role is crucial in ensuring the quality and efficiency of our barrel production.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee the daily operations of the production floor, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to production schedules.
• Manage and lead a team of coopers, ensuring proper training, development, and performance management.
• Monitor production processes to maintain high standards of quality and consistency.
• Coordinate with procurement to ensure timely availability of raw materials and supplies.
• Implement and maintain health and safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
• Ensure compliance with existing procedures relating to our inventory management systems and the accuracy of inventory movements (in and out flows).
• Analyze production data and metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions (including stave material, finished barrels, workforce).
• Collaborate with other departments, such as sales and logistics, to align production with customer demand and delivery schedules.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in production management, preferably in a cooperage or related industry.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in production planning and quality control processes.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Ability to liaise within our international company setting
• Bilingual preferred (English/Spanish)
