Want to make a difference?! Sleeping Giant Winery, located in the beautiful Carneros appellation, is the newest winery in Carneros-Napa Valley, although we have been producing award winning wines for over 30 years. We are currently seeking a key team member who will be more than a cog in a big machine. This person will help shape the future and be involved in major decision making to continue to steer the winery and maintain our steady and ascending course. We are a small, family-owned winery, and we pride ourselves on our lasting and authentic connection to our customers, growers, suppliers and of course our employees. The Office Manager must be proficient in all aspects of winery operations, compliance, accounting, marketing and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, work with a high attention to detail and have the confidence to manage multiple projects at once. A passion for people and wine, and a drive to meet goals while building relationships is a must for this position. This is a full-time position with benefits.
Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
General Office Management
-SOP creation and implementation
-Calendar Management
-Harvest Contracts
-Compliance w/ Ship Compliant
-Office reception: first person to answer phones, greet and assist office visitors
-Daily opening and closing procedures to ensure physical spaces are ready for guests and the team.
-Daily mail collection and distribution.
-Order and re-stock office supplies, stationery, and shipping/packing materials.
-Responsible for general organization and tidiness in public areas, kitchen, and office.
-HR /Worker’s Compensation knowledge
-Accounting responsibilities include A/P, A/R using Quickbooks
-Payroll oversight and processing with ADP
-Inventory & TTB Compliance
-Works with team to ensure inventory compliance by maintaining accurate records
-Processes case goods and packaging inventory transfers, receipts, and removals
-Calculates and processes state and federal excise taxes for compliance and timely payment
Qualifications
-Prior experience and success in customer service and office management roles
-Thorough passion and knowledge of wine, wine growing, and wine production
-Professional appearance and demeanor
-Strong written and verbal communication skills
-Good command of technology and ability to learn and work in multiple systems
-High attention to detail and capacity to manage multiple projects at once
-Must be able to lift 50 pounds
Salary range: $75,000 to 95,000 plus benefits
