Job Purpose:
This position is for the Harvest/Crush season only!
The Harvest Winemaker will be responsible for assisting in the winemaking operations and wine production. The Harvest Winemaker will assist with cellar operations, production projects and provide knowledgeable feedback to the production team. The Harvest Winemaker will assist in monitoring stages of wine production, including fermentation, aging, grape harvesting, blending, wine production and bottling.

Duites & Responsibilities:
•  Adhere to all LangeTwins safety policies and procedures.
•  Assist Winemakers with Vineyard monitoring.
•  Generate work orders for grape receiving and wine processing.
•  Conduct daily fermentation monitoring including tank temperatures, cap inspection and management.
•  Monitor winemaking trials and review lab analysis, reporting to winemaking team as needed.
•  Collaborate with the winemaking team on any issues or production conflicts that arise and provide resolutions.
•  Participate in wine tasting and blending decisions throughout the harvest winemaking process while conducting evaluation and recommendation of treatments.
•  Support winemakers in custom crush client management, the adherence to winemaking protocols, monitoring work order progress, analysis reporting, and shipment
preparation.
•  Help Winemakers with other projects and assignments as needed.

Qualifications:
•  B.S. degree in Enology, Fermentation Science, Food Science or related field.
•  7+ years of experience working during Harvest, including extensive knowledge of Winery production custom crush, wine chemistry, lab analysis techniques, viticulture, grape
varieties, and working during Harvest seasons.
•  Willing to work various shifts, including weekends and overtime.
•  Thorough knowledge of cellar, lab, bottling and vineyard operations.
•  Strong organizational, communication and computer skills are required.
•  Demonstrate a strong work ethic while fostering an environment of trust, collaboration, and respect.
•  Willing to work independently as well as in collaboration with others.
•  Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office and preferably, experience with a winemaking database system.
•  Bilingual in Spanish preferred.

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements:
Ability to work indoors and outdoors, in an office and with machinery, at ground level or elevated on cat-walk spaces with exposure to related equipment varying noise levels. Must be available to support production teams when needed, including early morning or evening or weekend work as needed.
Must be able to lift and carry weights of up to 50 pounds at varying frequencies. Possess the ability to work in a fast-paced environment under pressure. Ability to perform tasks requiring bending, stooping, standing, climbing stairs, carrying, and twisting in a production environment. Requires sitting, operating a computer keyboard, telephone, and other office equipment, reading, talking, and hearing for extended periods of time. Must be able to taste alcoholic beverages and detect, distinguish, and determine smells.
