Job Description:

The cellar at The Walls Winery, minutes from downtown Walla Walla, is second to none. With almost 40% of our primary fermentation occurring in small format concrete and our investment in large oak barrels, this is a winemaker's studio more than a production facility.

The Walls, and our Rocks District AVA Rhone-focused project PÁŠXA, is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Cellar Tech to join our dynamic team. In this role, you'll play a vital role in the hands-on aspects of our winemaking process, from fermentation and cellar management to lab and sensory analysis.

Maintain a meticulous cellar: Ensure effective winemaking operations, cellar cleanliness, and safety at all times

Embrace the art and science: Conduct basic lab analysis and quality checks to safeguard the integrity of our wines. Be a part of an inclusive winemaking team with a seat at the blending table

Work like a team: Collaborate with winemakers and fellow cellar technicians to keep production flowing smoothly.

Specific duties include
*Utilize a range of winery equipment, including pumps, presses, and filtration systems, to manage wine movement.
*Operate and maintain pumps, presses, and all forms of winery equipment
*Clean and sanitize tanks and processing equipment.
*Perform barrel work and assist winemakers in additions
*Perform all cellar sanitation according to SOP, including tank washing, hose and equipment washing, floor washing, barrel washing, and SO2 gassing
*Furnishes lab with wine/juice samples for analysis.
*Assist with bottling set-up, running the bottling line, loading/unloading trucks of bottling supplies or finished product as required.

*Can handle physical tasks like lifting, moving, and cleaning.
*Thrive in a collaborative environment and enjoy working as part of a team.
*Have good taste in music (though not required)

Bonus points if you:
Have experience working in a premium winery or a similar production environment.
Hold a certificate in viticulture or enology (not required but a plus!).
