Job Description:

We are looking for one hardworking intern for crush this year. We are a small 3 person production operation in Healdsburg, producing about 120 tons. We work with ~22 vineyards in Sonoma, Napa, Lake, El Dorado, Sta Rita Hills and Santa Cruz counties, and we work with ~14 different varieties. There may be opportunities for vineyard visits and sampling, but most of the work will be in the cellar.
The position is very physical, involving cleaning and sanitizing, daily pump overs, a few punchdowns, tons and tons of barefoot grape stomping, some barreling etc. The position involves working in a small team, working closely with the winemakers, so we are looking for a friendly, enthusiastic and motivated person, with at least one harvest experience.
Our harvest position lasts for about 4 weeks from mid September through mid-October, depending on the vintage, with typically 8 hour days, 5 days a week. We have flexibility in scheduling and will consider a part-time person.
We are also seeking someone who is passionate about cooking. We have a small outdoor kitchen and pizza oven, and we are definitely looking for someone who can juggle pumpovers while they plan and execute healthy harvest lunches.
