Job Description:

Reporting to the Sr VP of Sales, the Texas State Manager Position requires a high level of competency in distributor management and frequent, key regional off and on-premise account HQ calls within the territory. Ideally the candidate will be located in either Dallas or Austin. The position will cover all of Texas and could expand into a Regional Director.

The candidate will be expected to attain sales plan set by Executive leadership team. Specific KPI goals are put in place for the state manager to monitor and drive results. This involves tactical planning, program setting, performance evaluation, and course correcting of all distributor. This role is highly sales driven and results are expected from this position, not solely relying on distributors.

Must be willing to travel throughout the assigned territory to manage our distributor network and be responsible executing national account programs within division.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
•  Lead Joint Business Planning process with distributor partners for new fiscal year
•  Deliver the overall Division and market-specific volume, share (index) and profit objective as articulated in Annual Plan
•  Develop and execute annual, quarterly, and monthly business reviews by state, by brand, by SKU, and by channel
•  Understand company’s vision and model the appropriate behaviors/core values
•  Manage Division goals, depletions, PODs and shipments
•  Develop and maintain contact with the decision makers and executives within distributors/distributor networks and develop a consistent cadence to monitor all initiatives (progress checks)
•  Assure that brand development throughout the Division in done in accordance within corporate and brand standards
•  Work with the National Account Team (both off and on premise) to ensure rapid and effective execution relative to national account initiatives and compliance
•  Train and develop distributor account executives and sales representatives to ensure they have a strong working knowledge of AMASS Brands Group portfolio, including key selling points, accolades, pricing and merchandising standards
•  Identify and assess risk factors before making decisions
•  Assure that distributor AR’s are current and that WINC is paid in a timely manner, as well
•  Have a good knowledge of the key players and market conditions in each assigned state/distributor
•  Monitor key chain accounts assigned to each Regional Manager by knowing the key calendar dates for new item presentations, ad and promotion parameters, pricing strategies, and buyer names

Requirements:
10+ years sales experience as a supplier or wholesaler. Preferably within Texas
Extensive knowledge of the beverage alcohol market
Proven success in wine/adult beverage industry sales management with experience in chain account channel
Strong ability to influence others and close deals in a timely manner
Ability to recognize and solve problems that result in win-win outcomes
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
A high level of integrity, self-confident with an excellent ability to build relationships
Be a strategic and creative thinker, with the ability to make good and sometimes difficult decisions
Highly organized and self -motivated
Possess effective industry relationships in all three tiers
Strong sense of urgency and commitment to achieving results
Excellent problem-solving skills
Good PC skills (Word, Excel and Power Point) and proficiency in analyzing industry data, Nielsen & IRI
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent life experience
Clean driving record, vehicle and insurance required
Willing and able to travel frequently (50% of time) including overnight stays
Weekend and evening work as required
