Job Description:

JOB STATEMENT: The Regional Sales Manager leads a sales team to achieve business plan and performance objectives within their markets across multiple geographies. This position is responsible for the implementation and execution of strategic sales initiatives, as well as coaching, mentoring and developing direct reports and the sales team. You will provide leadership in California to achieve performance targets, oversee business development, and deliver sales goals for company-owned and supplier partner brands.

Essential Duties:
Development, implementation, and achievement of annual sales goals.
Fosters a culture of teamwork; recruits, trains, and develops top talent.
Accurately assesses strengths and development needs of team members; provides timely, specific feedback and coaching while consistently managing performance.
Build and maintain close working relationships with the top on and off premise retail accounts and supplier partners in assigned geography.
Responsible for all aspects of customer and supplier management, achieving sales goals and penetration in all channels of business.
Conduct sales meetings on a consistent basis to communicate sales objectives and expectations to direct reports and sales team.
Works closely and collaboratively with all internal departments to ensure success.
Ensures compliance and consistent application of all company policies and decisions.
Submits required reports and expenses in a timely manner and meets established deadlines.
Provide monthly reports and accomplishments recap to General Sales Manager
JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Education/Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
Minimum 10 years of wine industry experience and 5 years of managing sales teams.
General Alcohol and Beverage experience highly preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Excellent communication, organizational, and self-motivational skills
Must have in-depth working knowledge of wine and the wine industry.
Ability to interpret internal and/or syndicated data to create effective business presentations.
Solid skillset with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
High level of integrity, confidence
Possess a valid driver’s license, clean driving record, reliable transportation, and be able to meet the company's insurance requirements.
Detail-oriented and results driven.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

This is a remote position requiring work from home and multiple days weekly in the market.
Occasionally required to lift and carry cases of wine.
Perform tasks using standard computer equipment.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Requires ability to travel frequently and work evenings/weekends as needed for internal and external meetings and events.
