Gary Farrell Winery is seeking a dynamic and customer-focused individual to join our Tasting Salon Team as a Part-Time Estate Ambassador. Join our team of sales professionals and luxury hospitality specialists to achieve business goals through hosting intimate, curated wine tasting experiences at our beautiful Russian River Valley Winery. We are looking for personable, passionate wine enthusiasts to round out a small, collaborative team of Ambassadors. Previous hospitality and/or sales experience is required.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
•  Conduct tours and tastings for guests, trade, media and VIPs
•  Sell limited small-production wines, wine club memberships, tasting experiences, and events to guests
•  Educate customers about Gary Farrell wines - the uniqueness of our brand, including our winery history, accolades and awards
•  Capture and maintain customer information for future sales and marketing efforts
•  Accurately processing carry-out, pick up and ship order transactions using POS (WineDirect)
•  Assist with daily tasting room operations including but not limited to:
o Open/close procedures
o Answering telephone and responding to email messages
o Glass washing and polishing
o Packing ship order shipments
•  Assist with winery events and occasional off-site marketing events
•  Create a memorable experience for all guests who enter the property by building relationships and engaging them in authentic, personable conversation
•  Assist in maintaining an organized and accurate inventory location which includes checking in and putting away wine orders, and inventory counts
•  Proactively foster a team atmosphere with peers
•  Other duties and projects as necessary

In addition to these primary duties, Gary Farrell Winery asks its employees to be cross-trained and capable of many tasks. Training and experience will be provided as time and opportunity allow you to grow, learn, and develop new skills within these parameters.

QUALIFICATIONS:
•  CSW or WSET preferred
•  Exceptional hospitality and communication skills to deliver a “Michelin Star” level guest experience
•  Dynamic sales skills with the ability to meet individual and team goals
•  Wine knowledgeable and exudes passion for Russian River Valley Pinot Noir and Chardonnay
•  Self-motivated and team-oriented
•  Positive professional demeanor with at least two years tasting room and/or retail sales experience
•  Computer proficiency (POS systems and MS Office)
•  Must be at least 21 years of age

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
•  Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds on an intermittent basis
•  Ability to work in a standing and/or walking position for long periods of time
