Job Description:

SUMMARY
A multifaceted & highly collaborative position that engages all Cline properties. In collaboration with the Director of Events and Event Manager, the Event Specialist promotes Cline Family Cellars, Jacuzzi Family Vineyards and The Olive Press through hospitality and special events from sale to execution, providing an exceptional guest experience and building loyalty to the brand. The Event Specialist also assists the office and Director with all administrative duties, on-call staff scheduling, contracts and events financials to assess profitability of programs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Administrative Duties:
Scheduling and confirmation of on-call time event staff.
Assist department with events financials from contract to collection.
Create timelines, set up plans, event diagrams, invoices, menus, signage and event collateral.
Manage calendars, emails and calls, office duties and special projects as assigned.
Work cross-functionally with multiple internal departments and outside vendors.
Support Director of Events and Events team members as needed.

Sales and Marketing:
Execute strategies set by the Director of Events to meet special events revenue goals for Cline Cellars, Jacuzzi Family Vineyards and the Cline Vineyard Estate.
Collaborate with Director of Events to improve existing programs within the department.
Collaborate with Tasting Rooms and Wine Club to increase wine sales through special events.
Promote paid bookings at the Cline Vineyard Estate.
Network with hospitality community and leaders to promote Cline Cellars, Jacuzzi Family Vineyards and The Olive Press.

Event Management:
Oversee planning, management and execution of public, private and in-house events at the Cline properties and Cline Vineyard Estate.
Handle site tours, schedule events and negotiate contracts.
Work with other departments, vendors and outside resources to manage facility use and resources.
Develop and prioritize needed improvements to enhance client experience and increase revenue.
Train and become proficient in winery POS and reservation systems.
Follow department procedures with urgency while planning and overseeing multiple venues and events.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience, Knowledge, and Skills?
Minimum 5 years’ experience planning and managing events, winery setting preferred.
Ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and adhere to strict deadlines
Strong administrative and organizational skills
Strong managerial skills
Excellent written and oral communication
Excellent customer service skills
Knowledge of wine, viticulture and wine production a plus
Spanish speaking a plus
Passionate about wine and desire to learn about our brand stories and wine portfolios
Proficient skills in MS Office
Must be 21 years of age or older

Pay Range: $65,000 - $70,000/year (Depends on Experience)
