Job Description:

Willamette Valley Vineyards (NASDAQ: WVVI & WVVIP) is seeking an outstanding Accountant to join our team at the beautiful Estate in the Salem Hills. This onsite position is ideal for a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual with accounting experience, along with the ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment. This position is ideal for someone with a few years of experience, but not required.

Accountant Responsibilities:
-Preparing and inputting complex journal entries.
-Month-end close processes.
-Prepare reconciliations of general ledger accounts.
-Prepare internal and external audit schedules.
-Audits contracts, orders, and vouchers.
-Analyzes financial information detailing assets and liabilities.
-Coordinate bulk wine inventory, packaging and supplies, counts.
-Liaison for Production and Vineyard teams on labor tracking, inventory purchases and sales.
-Be the resource for Sales team on inventory movements.
-Coordinate with the Compliance team on inventory movements.
-Vineyard development costs tracking.
-Harvest cost accounting and Vintrace reconciliation.
-Investigate unusual/non-routine transactions and report findings and recommendations.
-Participate in special projects utilizing technical accounting and analytical skills to make recommendations.
-Other tasks as assigned by the CFO and Controller.
-Supports company’s effort to create a more sustainable, cross-cultural, and “green” environment.

Requirements:
-BA or BS in Accounting or closely related field.
-CPA and/or CMA desirable but not required.
-Strong working knowledge of accounting systems and Microsoft Office applications.
-5 or more years of experience with increasing responsibility in career progression.
-Strong problem-solving skills.
