JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Title: Tasting Room Staff & Events Coordinator
Department: Hospitality/Events
Reports to: Director of Hospitality/Events
FSLA Status: Non Exempt, Full Time
Prepared Date: April 2024

SUMMARY: This is a great, entry-level role that offers an opportunity in two of the key areas of winery operations—Tasting Room and Events. This multi-functional position is critical in assisting the Director of Events to meet the needs of event execution with preparation, set up, and clean up, as well as support during events. Additionally, the candidate will spend time in the Tasting Room learning sales skills, understanding our wines, and interacting with our guests, developing customers for life. We are dedicated to providing memorable winery experiences for our guests. Working and cooperating with other key departments, and practicing great teamwork and communication are critical to success in this role.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The following reflects the essential functions of this hybrid role. Management may assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time due to reasonable accommodation or other reasons.

TASTING ROOM
•  Sell wine, wine clubs, and gather customer information.
•  Learn the Balletto story and share that story in the setting of a tasting room with guests.
•  Responsible for learning about the Balletto wines and becoming proficient in these wines when sharing with guests.
•  Attain proficiency in our CRM (E-Cellars) and accurately enter information and conduct transactions.
•  Provide memorable experiences for our guests, accommodating their needs and requests.
•  Develop “Customers for life” mindset.
•  Responsibly pour wine for guests. (RBS Training will be provided)
•  Set up and break down stations at which you have served guests.
•  Cleaning, buffing, and polishing glassware as needed.
•  Work Wine Club and other industry events as needed.
•  Pour at offsite events.
•  Any other duties related to Tasting Room operations as directed by Tasting Room Manager/Director of Hospitality
•  Weekends will be required.

EVENTS
•  Supports events on and off-site.
•  Prepares event space under the guidance of the Director.
•  Facilitate customer needs during events.
•  Assists in the breakdown after events.
•  Assist in planning and organizing events.
•  Helps coordination between the Tasting Room and other departments as necessary.
•  Other duties as assigned by the Director of Events.

OTHER
•  Support the Director in promotions or sales of space or events.
•  Prepare reporting information pertaining to events.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Education and/or Experience:
•  AA degree or a combination of education and experience
