Are you an enthusiastic and experienced wine hospitality leader interested in a rare opportunity to join Saviah Cellars, a well-established and highly regarded family-owned winery in the Walla Walla Valley? We are seeking an energetic candidate to lead our Tasting Room team. Candidate must have excellent communication skills, the proven ability to lead and motivate a team, a true passion for wine and a heart for customer service.

Our successful candidate will enjoy interacting with customers, display an outgoing personality, operate professionally under all circumstances, and have strong collaborative, organizational, and managerial skills.

•  Create an exceptional experience educating guests on Saviah Cellars’ wines, vineyards, and history, in an inviting and positive atmosphere.
•  Oversee the day-to-day tasting room operations, staff scheduling, and reservation system.
•  Hire, train, educate, and motivate the tasting room staff to deliver the highest level of customer service and achieve or exceed established sales and club goals.
•  Develop strategies to enhance the guest experience, increase sales, and promote brand loyalty.
•  Work closely with Wine Club Manager to train staff for upcoming wine club shipments and procedures, and strategies to grow wine club membership and retain members.
•  Manage tasting room inventory, supplies, and merchandise, including purchasing, reconciliation, and stocking.
•  Oversee maintenance and cleanliness of tasting room and outdoor guest areas.
•  Maintain proper licenses and permits for employees, including Food Handler Permits and MAST cards, and ensure compliance with all WSLCB and Health Department laws and regulations.

•  5+ years of hospitality experience, preferably in the wine profession, including 2+ years supervising a team.
•  Extensive wine knowledge, with a passion for food and wine culture.
•  Exceptional leadership skills and demonstrated ability to manage a team.
•  Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work in a dynamic work environment.
•  Problem-solving skills and ability to think on one’s feet.
•  Professional appearance and demeanor.
•  Proven record of developing and executing programs and events that increase revenue, club growth, and create customers for life.
•  Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
•  Experience with POS systems and strong proficiency in computer programs such as Word and Excel. Knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and OrderPort helpful.
•  Must be available to work weekends and occasional evenings.
•  Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time and lift 45 lbs on a regular basis.
•  Must be at least 21 years of age and have a valid driver’s license.
•  Must have or be able to acquire a Class 12 MAST server permit and Food Handler’s permit.
