The Duckhorn Portfolio is North America’s premier luxury wine company. We were established in 1976 by Dan and Margaret Duckhorn. Today, our portfolio features some of North America’s most revered wineries, including Decoy, Paraduxx, Goldeneye, Migration, Canvasback, Calera, Kosta Browne, Greenwing and Postmark.

Calera Winery is looking for talented and passionate Harvest Cellar Interns to join them for Harvest 2024. This harvest position entails all aspects of the vintage from vineyard sampling, crush-pad, laboratory, cellar and even some wine tasting events. This internship provides a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience, working closely with experienced winemakers and cellar staff. The primary focus of the role is to support the day-to-day operations of the cellar during the busy harvest season.

What we will ask you to do:
•  Perform grape receiving activities.
•  Perform wine and must movements.
•  Make additions to musts and wine.
•  Monitor fermentation kinetics.
•  Perform barrel activities.
•  Conduct grape sampling.
•  Assist with wine sampling and some lab work.
•  Perform equipment and tank sanitation.

What you will need:
•  Must have a positive attitude and be reliable, on-time and engaged.
•  Ability to work in harmony with others.
•  Sufficient reading, writing, and math skills.
•  Effective communication skills.
•  Ability to lift 50 lbs.
•  Ability and willingness to work in various temperatures and conditions.
•  Attention to detail.
•  Ability and willingness to work varying shifts.
