Job Description:

As one of the key players in the success of our family owned and operated wine, the Tasting Room Lead will represent BloodRoot with style and grace providing epic hospitality and a comfortable sales environment selling wine and converting customers to our club.

BloodRooot sells delicious wine in a fun and welcoming tasting room in downtown Healdsburg. We have DJs on Saturdays and we have an annual music festival. Our wines are interesting while still approachable. We are a small and mighty team - everyone does everything! We offer an environment where we encourage you to be your individual self and give our guests an authentic, yet elevated experience. There is a ton of opportunity with our growing company and we are looking for passionate individuals who would like to grow their careers in the industry.

This is a hands on position with some days operating the tasting room on your own. You must be a self starter and have a true passion for hospitality, sales, and wine. We are looking for dynamic candidates who are enthusiastic about a career in the wine industry. Additionally, our sister property, Reeve, might require some crossover work from time to time. We are a “roll up your sleeves” team and work us such.

REQUIRED SCHEDULE // Weekends are required.


- Consistently deliver impeccable hospitality and service that supports the core mission of the brand
- Promote and effectively sell wine and wine club membership conversions
- Accurate and timely customer data and order entry
- Customer follow up including thank you cards, check ins with top customers, etc.
- Follow daily opening and closing procedures
- Demonstrates personal accountability by completing all job duties in a correct and timely manner and by following all company policies and procedures.
- Assisting in special projects including, but not limited to holiday campaigns, member release weekends, special events etc.
- Provide Concierge services as needed
- Create strong relationships with partners and brands that align with BloodRoot + Reeve to generate referral business
- Maintain a clean and organized tasting room that is always set to be inviting for all of our guests

- Phone and inbox management
- Reservations management including checking and/or creating notes for the team for customers coming to the winery
- Moderate event planning ( Nothing too crazy)


- Sales oriented team player
- General willingness to learn new things and be open to new experiences
- Microsoft Suite, Google, and Wine Direct proficient
- Ability to intelligently and articulately communicate about our wines and membership tiers
- Easily flexes into tailoring the experience for the novice or the well-informed connoisseur
- Strong background and knowledge of wine and the winemaking process
- Very organized and detail oriented
- Self-starter, internally driven and motivated
- Must thrive in a high-energy and fast-paced environment
- Strong time management and multi-tasking skills
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Must be able to lift 40 pounds
- Weekends, some holidays and some evenings required

+ This is a full time position with moderate flexibility. A typical day is a 12:30pm arrival and a 7pm-8pm departure. This can vary depending on business levels etc.
