ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Supervises the daily work of centralized routing team, including adherence to standard operating
procedures, adherence to planned routes, and providing safe and efficient customer service at the
lowest cost.
2. Utilizing Roadnet Anywhere (RNA) software by creating optimal routes which maximizes delivery
stop coverage, while minimizing the opportunity for overtime.
3. Verify actual vs. planned reporting from prior day routes to review router and driver
performance, including the communication to the transportation team in the field.
4. Monitor real time call flow within centralized dispatching, service levels between drivers/
customers/sales, and that calls are answered in a timely matter.
5. Responsible for the quality and efficiency for the routing of all delivery routes within the network.
6. Reviews and set standards for routing team members, conduct staffing meetings, suggests
efficiency ideas, cost reduction measures, and the implementation of delivery changes
7. Conducts audits on routing, ensuring hours of service, and that all other DOT requirements are met to
verify compliance with all state, local and federal regulations.
8. Communicates to local sales, customer service, or accounts receivable any issues encountered
while routing due to changes in business.
9. Trains new employees and cross-trains existing team members to perform functions across routing and
dispatching to become SME's in all areas of transportation and across multiple geographies as
necessary
10. Verify the routing function is completed in a timely manner (or on schedule) to ensure the local
distribution centers can meet nightly picking/loading/dispatching to schedule.
11. Perform weekly alignment calls with local DC leadership on any driver opportunities/concerns,
performance scorecard, efficiency/cost savings, project updates, cost analysis, and strengths
found within respective markets.
12. Provide coverage to Routing Specialists and Route Dispatchers during PTO and sick leave.
13. Perform management functions for staffing relating to hiring or termination, development,
discipline, and performance reviews.
14. Update reporting and KPI's on Microsoft Teams daily, including any additional files found on the
shared Z-Drive.
15. Arrives to work, meetings, appointments and other work-related functions on time and as
scheduled.
16. Meets agreed upon goals and objectives effectively and in a timely manner.
17. This position has additional duties. Special projects may be assigned at the position supervisor's
discretion

OTHER FUNCTIONS:

1.Follows all safety policies and procedures; communicates hazards and/or suggests improvements to manager
2.Sign-off on Job Task Accountability (JTA) document
3. All other duties as assigned

WORKING CONDITIONS
Normal office environment with prolonged periods of sitting and working at a computer

BONUS ELIGIBILITY
Eligible to participate in the annual bonus program based off performance achieved.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Sitting, standing, occasional lifting up to 50lbs, repetitive motion with hands, bending, reaching,
finger dexterity and visual acuity

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

1. Two or four year college degree in supply chain management or
similar related function preferred.
2. Two years of routing and supervisory experience.
3. Good working knowledge of geographical areas.
4. Experience using delivery software programs, using Roadnet
routing system preferred.
5. Excellent organizational skills and detail oriented.
