Job Description:

Looking for an energetic, wine enthusiastic individual for our Division Manager role to cover TX, LA, OK, AR, NM regions. The role will preferably be based in Dallas, Texas.

KEY CRITERIA:

•  Candidate should reside in Dallas, TX
•  Candidate must have Distributor Management and/or Supplier Experience (3yrs)

Position Summary:

Reporting to the Vice President, National Sales, this position is responsible for the development and day-to-day management of sales execution within the assigned multi-state territory. Building and maintaining strong relationships with distributor management and sales force, planning, communicating, and monitoring sales goals of the Banville portfolio, as well as establishing and maintaining relationships with key accounts. This is a home office position based in specific key cities within defined territory.

Critical Tasks:
Execution of Sales Objectives (50%)
•  Achieve sales plans by developing, cultivating and maintaining strong relationships with key buyers, partner with buyers to explore new business opportunities.
•  Use internal and external resources to identify and target top accounts in territory that can make a difference in achieving sales goals for the key brands, cultivate relationships with those accounts.
•  Conduct regular distributor work withs; set expectations with distributor and lead in the development of Banville wines in the territory.
•  Drive on- and off-premise sales by providing education materials, seminars, and training on all Banville wines to key accounts.
•  Maintain relationship with all Banville suppliers that allows for transparent and collaborative discussion of any business issue.
•  Ensure suppler market visits are productive and an effective use of supplier’s time, coordinate activities with distributor confirming dates and objectives are provided in a timely manner. Ensure proper inventory, programming, and incentives are in place to support supplier market visit activities.

Strategic Business Development (35%)
•  In partnership with VP of Sales, develop effective pricing strategies and programming that are aligned with brand strategy and image; manage pricing and programming with the distributors to ensure goals are achieved.
•  Deliver on financial performance goals for the territory; ensure budgets are adhered to; analyze performance to address variances and ensure corrective actions are implemented in a timely manner.
•  Effectively communicate and manage distributor inventory levels across multiple markets maintaining par levels to achieve annual plan targets.
•  Build and maintain effective working relationships with senior distributor management to inspire and influence important business issues.
•  Conduct regular business reviews with distributor management within territory to include depletions, value, accounts sold, profitability and program ROI.
•  Present new items, pre-sales, etc. to distributor management in a timely manner.
•  Provide feedback to the VP of Sales on market issues, opportunities, changes, gaps, challenges and competitive activity.
•  Participate in community or industry events within territory to increase visibility and relevance of Banville and its portfolio in the market.

Administrative (15%)
•  Ensure timely submission of expense reports and adhere to T&E budgets.
•  Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications and maintaining professional networks.
•  Utilize all available resources to understand brand health and needs; develop action plans for business opportunities to increase sales.
•  Respond to all emails and voicemails within 1 business day of receipt.
•  Perform all administrative duties in accordance with standards set by VP of Sales.

Professional Requirements:

Education/Experience: College degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or other related discipline, or equivalent experience. Minimum of 3 - 5 years of experience selling wines through multi-tiered distribution channels, including experience managing a distributor and budgets.

Skills: Must be an effective communicator with excellent written and verbal communication skills. Excellent public speaking and presentation skills, comfortable in front of large and small audiences. Must possess strong listening skills, and outstanding sales skills (follow-up, closing, overcoming objections). Good PC skills (Windows: Word/Excel). Must be a self-starter, be able to juggle multiple situations, and able to work independently. Ability to effectively use reporting tools or data insights to manage and plan business activities. Experience planning/coordinating events, and outstanding time management skills. Must possess a high level of integrity, be self-confident, have an excellent ability to build relationships. Understanding of the importance of providing outstanding customer service. Creative with a winning attitude, and the selling abilities of telling a story and influencing.

Knowledge: Passion for and extensive knowledge of Domestic and Import wines.

Physical: Must be able to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends. Must be able to travel including overnight stays both domestic and international. Must be able to lift and carry 40 pounds.

Other: Must have a valid Driver’s license in the state employed and must meet the Company’s automobile insurance requirements.
