JOB SUMMARY:

The Heritage Brand Manager - Italian Portfolio is a key role within our WBI portfolio department, responsible for developing strategic initiatives and tactical plans to maximize performance and support the achievement of brand goals. A primary responsibility will be fostering and maintaining relationships with our esteemed Italian winery partners, ensuring their priorities and goals are effectively communicated across departments and reflected in brand plans and promotion efforts. This role requires collaborative efforts across multiple departments as well as a deep understanding of product specifics and industry dynamics. This individual will help guide portfolio strategy including analysis, development, and coordination across WBI and WBW departments

BRAND MANAGEMENT FUNCTIONS:

•  Develop robust relationships with suppliers by maintaining clear and consistent communication and proactively engaging in identifying potential issues, resolutions, and opportunities.
•  Drive brand objectives by developing and implementing strategic plans for the assigned Italian supplier partners.
•  Develop and implement price strategy, continuously assessing market positioning to achieve target margins and ensure competitiveness.
•  Plan and lead regular business review meetings with suppliers to report on industry trends, analyze sales performance, evaluate sales and marketing tactics, and share upcoming programs and initiatives.
•  Collaborate closely with supply chain department to forecast and plan sufficient inventory levels to support sales initiative and programs.
•  Collaborate with the Marketing, Digital Marketing, PR, and Education departments to develop initiatives that support brand objectives.
•  Communicate brand positioning, key selling points and new initiatives to Sales teams.
•  Prepares and presents frequent brand presentations to communicate brand positioning, key selling points and new initiatives and programming to Sales teams.
•  Organizes and coordinates supplier market work, including sales meetings, ride-withs, and special events.
•  Occasional domestic and international travel to conduct tasting events, conduct business reviews and planning sessions with suppliers.
•  Meets agreed upon goals and objectives effectively and in a timely manner.
•  Works cross-functionally with Pricing, Contracts, Compliance, Finance, and Operations to support portfolio administration.
•  Provides monthly/quarterly supplier reporting on performance and inventory to suppliers.
•  Ensures maintenance and compliance of pertinent terms and conditions of commercial agreements and legal contracts.
•  Manages bank and OCM tracking/billbacks.
•  Facilitates and coordinates CBMA process to ensure appointment of gallonage imported.
•  Notify suppliers and procure confirmation of bi-annual FDA renewal.
•  Maintains positive, constructive relationships and communications with internal team members and departments.

OTHER FUNCTIONS
•  Follows all safety policies and procedures; communicates hazards and/or suggests improvements to manager.
•  Performs other duties as assigned.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Overtime work may be required; normal office environment; travel by airplane and automobile; occasional overnight travel.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Lifting to 40 lbs., bending, sitting, standing, manual dexterity, reaching, visual acuity

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

•  Bachelor's Degree
•  Preferred 5 years' experience in brand management.
•  Must have minimum of 7 years' experience in the wine industry.
•  Must have comprehensive product and category knowledge.
•  Computer proficiency in MS Office Software
•  Results oriented professional with excellent communications skills - written, verbal and presentation.
