Job Description:

A Senior Accountant job in Woodinville, WA is available at Ste. Michelle Wine Estates (SMWE). The position is responsible for accurate and authorized financial transaction recording in the general ledger and providing timely and accurate financial reporting in compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). This entails maintaining master data, analyzing and reconciling transactional data, posting journal entries, preparing accurate and insightful financial schedules and reports, and performing internal controls to ensure integrity of the financial information.

Senior Accountant job responsibilities include:

•  Maintain enterprise resource planning (ERP) system master data to ensure proper transaction accounting and authorization to include the chart of accounts, transaction automated account assignments, vendor and customer master data, and purchasing approval workflow.
•  Perform account reconciliations and prepare journal entries as part of the regular monthly close and as needed to maintain a high level of accuracy in the financial data used to manage the business operations.
•  Prepare monthly financial reporting and provide analysis and other financial schedules as requested to support management and external reporting needs collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
•  Identify and implement accounting process and systems improvements working cross-functionally with other departments.
•  Maintain accounting procedures and perform internal controls to include reporting and reviewing segregation of duties within the ERP system using designated software tool.
•  Administer the Corporate card programs and the reporting and reimbursement process utilizing the Concur T&E system.

Position Requirements:

•  Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
•  4-7 years of accounting experience, wine and spirits industry preferred
•  Solid understanding of US GAAP
•  Strong Microsoft Office skills, intermediate skill level with Microsoft Excel
•  Advanced knowledge working in ERP systems, JDE E1 experience preferred
•  CPA and public accounting experience preferred

Your Compensation:

$80,554 - 104,656/yr. based upon relevant experience.
