Ektimo winery in Sebastopol, California, is looking for a cellarmaster. This is a hands-on position, reporting to the winemaker. Production averages a total of 30,000 cases. The ideal candidate has 3-5 years cellar experience, a can-do attitude, passion for small-lot winemaking and an eye on efficiency for larger lots.

DUTIES INCLUDE:
•  Supervising cellar workers and managing work flow
•  Communicating effectively with the winemaker
•  Developing a rapport with custom crush clients and communicating with them
•  Performing and directing cellar crew to perform all standard production jobs from receiving and processing grapes, racking / blending, additions, barrel work, filtration and bottling
•  Implementing and completing work orders
•  Forklift operation (license required)
•  Equipment maintenance, including bottling line


REQUIREMENTS

•  3-5 years of wine cellar experience
•  Ability to communicate in English
•  Good basic math skills
•  Maintain a safe working environment including equipment and chemicals
•  Ability to follow written instructions accurately
•  Good sensory skills and the ability to identify problems in wines
•  Team player
•  Ability to supervise a small crew
•  Ability to lift and move 50 pounds, and occasionally a 100-pound barrel
•  Good mechanical skills
