We produce small production, world-class Cabernet Sauvignon from Alexander Valley & Napa Valley, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir from Russian River Valley and our signature Red Blend, “DEEDS”, in addition to Sauvignon Blanc and Rosé.
We are looking for an enthusiastic lover of wine with the gift of gab, who also shares our passion for the how and why of winemaking to lead our Direct-to-Consumer team. Through the six pillars of ACTA, you will share our story and our wines with visitors from around the world.

The Direct-To Consumer Manager at ACTA is responsible for overseeing the daily operations and training of the DTC Sales Team, through management of the Tasting Room and additional sales channels of website, phone and email. The DTC Manager will collaborate closely with the Owner/Vintner and Winemaker for direct support. This is a full-time role and primary working hours coincide with our regularly scheduled tasting room operations Wed-Sun, but will also include additional weekday hours, evenings and events.
The DTC at ACTA is responsible for performing, overseeing and training all direct report staff in all hospitality and related sales and guest service duties including, but not limited to:
o Recruit, train, and review staff. Lead our team of sales and hospitality professionals in a manner aligned with our values and culture. Be an example for what it means to experience ACTA Wine.
o Train staff to and be able yourself: Conduct and host tastings. tours, virtual programs events both on-site and off property. Coordinate hospitality appointments, scheduling and confirmations. Complete opening and closing functions of the hospitality center, including prepping of sales and service items, stocking wine, stocking packaging and point of sales materials, opening and closing inventories and reporting, etc.
o Contribute significant time on the floor in the Tasting Room to personally host by example, connect with customers and create lasting relationships.
o Communication with clients through phone and email, both by outreach and in a guest services capacity
o Collaborate with DTC team, winemaking team outside sales team and ownership on all aspects of sales, packing and shipping, brand promo &marketing
o Manage the record keeping in customer database, orders, tagging, profile notes.
o Manage inventories of wine and supplies, create and maintain reports, manage ordering
o Ensure compliance in the areas of health and safety for all things related to hospitality and DTC sales.
o Reconciliations and sales deposit tracking at required intervals.
o Opening and closing duties of the property itself. (gates, doors, cameras, alarms)
o Use best intent to keep the hospitality spaces, equipment and the property itself at ACTA up to the high standard of our six pillars!
Required knowledge, abilities and skills for ACTA Direct-to-Consumer Manager:
o College degree preferred but not required based on experience.
o 5+ years of relevant winery related hospitality or sales experience, with 2 years of hospitality and sales management. Experience in managing a team is essential.
o Have a good knowledge of winemaking, wine varietals, and viticulture.
o Point of Sale Software savvy. Proficient in common business software such as Word, Excel, Adobe, PowerPoint, Calendars, etc.
o Scheduling and planning ability
o Some event planning experience is preferred
o Developed written, phone communication, and public speaking skills.
o Professional appearance and demeanor
o Local knowledge of Alexander Valley, Healdsburg and beyond
o Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs (case of wine).
o Must be able to walk and/or stand for long periods of time.
o Must possess a valid CA Driver’s License / driving record cleared by company insurer.
o Pre-employment background evaluation required.
We pay with transparency: The base annual salary offered for this position is $65,000-$80,000. This is based on many job-related determining factors, including but not limited to; qualifications and experience, education, special skills, and labor market data. In addition to the base salary, opportunity for sales commissions are available and annual bonuses are given based on goals and performance. Full-time ACTA employees are also offered vacation pay, holiday pay, sick time pay, employee discounts on wine and non-working events, availability to enroll in the company health insurance policy, along with company funded opportunities for continued education in the areas of viticulture, oenology and sales and hospitality.
