Founded in 2003, Scotto Cellars is a dynamic family-owned wine company founded by 5th generation vintners who operate winemaking facilities in the Central Valley. Scotto Cellars produces numerous wine brands which are distributed throughout the U.S. and exported into numerous countries.
This person is responsible for a range of accounting/bookkeeping, financial management and administrative duties to support the financial, sales and management functions of our dynamic family owned company. This position requires an extremely detailed, highly organized, enthusiastic, and adaptable individual who works efficiently and is comfortable handling high-volume bookkeeping tasks for complex entities in a team-oriented environment. The office is located in Concord, CA.
Key responsibilities include:
Cost accounting
Inventory control
Inventory accounting
Accounts payables and receivables
Payroll
HR administrative duties
Organization of a business office
Responsibilities include the following, but not limited to:
• Financial Reporting
• Sales Tax Reporting
• Federal and State Excise Tax Reporting
• COGS
• Maintain fixed asset register and depreciation schedules
• Inventory cost analysis on wine inventory, finished goods and bulk wine
• General Ledger management and reconciliations
• Monthly, quarterly and annual tax review
• Human resources
• Payroll
• Work closely with owners
Job Requirements
• Manufacturing and inventory accounting experience
• BS or BA in Accounting or Business Administration or equivalent experience
• 5 years’ experience in a similar position in a dynamic, fast paced winery organization
• High level QuickBooks user
• Payroll experience
• Advanced Excel skills essential requirement
• Professionalism and self-confidence
The ideal candidate will have excellent credentials and references, along with proficiency in generally accepted accounting practices (GAAP) as well as MS office Suite, QuickBooks, and other accounting software systems.

• Strong, well-developed organizational skills, with ability to oversee a well-organized office and efficient operations at all levels.
• Ability to negotiate with vendors and suppliers.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• High proficiency with Excel.
• Capacity to work independently in a small, satellite office of the Lodi based winery.
• Ability to lift and carry a 9.0 liter (45 lbs) case of wine.
