Lawrence Wine Estates (LWE) supports a growing collection of wine estates in Napa Valley. The collection includes Heitz Cellar, Burgess Cellars, and Stony Hill Vineyards, all wineries with a deep legacy in Napa Valley, as well as four new brands that are anchored by distinct estate vineyards. Since the purchase of Heitz Cellar in 2018, owner Gaylon Lawrence and Master Sommelier and CEO Carlton McCoy have continued to acquire unique vineyards and now seek to launch new brands to realize more fully the potential of more than 600 acres of Napa Valley vineyards. All the estate brands honor traditional wine styles and prioritize natural farming techniques to create pure and balanced wines of the highest quality. Lawrence Wine Estates is actively expanding, creating a fast-paced environment. This endeavor creates a unique work culture where winemaking and vineyard traditions are honored, but the spirit is entrepreneurial. Lawrence Wine Estates works closely with Demeine Estates, the sales and marketing partner for each of the wine estates.

The senior analyst is a business professional who assesses the organization’s processes and operations and determines opportunities to increase efficiency with special regards to the Direct to Guest channel. As the organization implements new technologies and the needs of the team evolve, the ideal candidate will be willing to take on new or additional responsibilities. LWE is implementing a data warehouse, new reporting software, Adaptive and additional technologies to help build an efficient and scalable FP&A operation. The ideal candidate will embrace and be heavily involved with the implementation of these technologies and adopt best practices necessary to become a best-in-class accounting function.

Responsibilities:
Provide financial expertise and recommendations to enable effective sales/promotional event decisions for sales
Analyze marketing and sales metrics to identify cause-effect relationships between market/customer actions and financial outcomes in order to increase profitability
Help build and maintain new business revenue forecast models in close collaboration with FP&A that can be used for quota planning for ROI analysis
Build dashboards with Business Intelligence tools such as Power BI to visualize key performance indicators for specific customers, products and/or promotions
Educate users regarding the functional use of analyses, reports and other tools
Proactively engage with Business Partners and end users to bridge systems/training/knowledge gaps
Provide ROI analysis of marketing campaigns and targeted sales activities
Ensure enablement and drive adoption of appropriate Sales methodologies to improve opportunity and account management (eg Tock/Commerce 7)
Support execution of annual planning process including historical reviews, quota allocation, insight into business potential for growth etc
Support Weekly sales reporting
Project Support- manages projects as dictated by Business needs
Engage with project sponsors and stakeholders to understand each business initiative
Perform ad-hoc data analysis for business units around customer and products dynamics
Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel & PowerPoint required
Requirements:
Bachelor's and University Degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, Economics, Marketing, MBA, Education, Business/Administration, Computer Science, or Statistics preferred, CPA is a plus
3-5+ years of professional work experience in Sales & Channel function in a consumer facing industry. We will consider less experience for certain extraordinary candidates.
Experience in the wine industry or other CPG industry is a plus
Ease in approaching issues from a top management view and discussing them in the overall context of a business
Experience designing, supporting and interpreting KPI's, metrics and decision support tools
Advance skills in Excel and proficient with other Microsoft office programs
Experience with Microsoft Business Central and PowerBI is highly desirable
Strong communication skills: written and oral. Ability to communicate with employees at all levels
Excellent command of written and spoken English
