About Us:
Burgess is the culmination of over 150 years of grape growing history originating on the precipitous slopes of Howell Mountain. Over the course of these years, a tradition of stewardship was forged by those working the land. From early Swiss-Italian immigrants with the Rossini Family to the innovator that was Lee Stewart and finally to our namesake vintner in Tom Burgess, our story has long been rooted by the legacies that were built before us.

Today, those legacies are carried forward by the Lawrence Family, who acquired Burgess in the fall of 2020. As farmers themselves, they knew how important it was to be responsible stewards of the land. As such, they immediately hired Meghan Zobeck as Burgess’ new winemaker. Meghan’s regenerative farming philosophy and low-intervention winemaking lie at the center of Burgess’ future. To complement this new era, Burgess is poised to unveil a new Estate that will usher in luxury hospitality, approached in
an authentic and intentional fashion. We are currently looking for individuals who align with our passions and take pleasure in sharing them. Someone that has a penchant for building relationships, embracing connection, and delivering unforgettable experiences.

Position Summary:
The Estate Ambassador position, at its core, is charged with delivering a dynamic, vibrant, and flexible guest experience. Why flexible? Because we aim to truly connect with our guests and one of the best ways of achieving that is to deliver a personalized, intentional experience; one that is tailor-made to the person in front of you. This position will work side-by-side with fellow Estate Ambassadors as well as the Estate Director, teaming-up to create an effective and synergistic work environment. Ultimately, success
in this role is measured by the efficiency and frequency in which that person can deliver on all the above.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
•  Take ownership of entire guest experience. From time of booking to follow-up outreach and
everything in between.
•  Build and maintain relationships, grow client roster, and cultivate Burgess enthusiasts.
•  Convert guests into Members.
•  Convert visits into sales.
•  Convert inquiries into reservations.
•  Learn and master our POS, CRM, and reservation systems.
•  Possess high-level of integrity and transparency with regards to all sales transactions.
•  Accountable for tracking wine and retail inventory.
•  Assist with on-site events
•  Perform daily and monthly Estate cleaning and side-work duties.
•  Maintain a professional and positive appearance/demeanor at all times and in all instances.
•  Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:
•  2+ years in a luxury hospitality or sales setting, e.g., winery, restaurant, hotel, etc.
•  Exceptional communication, written, and interpersonal skills.
•  Enthusiasm for Napa Valley wine, memorable hospitality, and in particular luxury sales.
•  Proficiency in Microsoft Office & POS/CRM systems.
•  WSET or CMS certification preferred but not necessary.
•  Must be willing & available to work most weekends, holidays, and special events.
•  Possess a team-oriented mentality when it comes to shared duties, sales goals, and objectives.
•  Possess initiative and drive, a willingness to rise to the occasion.
•  Ideal candidates are looking to develop and refine their skillset for career advancement.
•  Demonstrate reliability, punctuality, and adherence to all safety regulations and operating
procedures.
•  An interest in regenerative, sustainable, and “green” initiatives/products.
•  A valid driver’s license.
•  Must be 21 years of age.

Physical & Mental Requirements:
•  Full body mobility: This is an active job where you’ll be expected to walk, stand, kneel, lift, etc.
for long periods of time.
•  Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds.
•  Ability to speak, read and write in English.
