Joseph Phelps Vineyards has an immediate opening for Human Resources Business Partner who will work closely with the Sr. Director of Human Resources on all aspects of talent acquisition and development.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Supports full life cycle recruiting that promotes inclusion and diversity. Source, screen and recommend placement of staff (internal and external). Participate in creation/modification of recruiting strategies in support of organizational staffing goals.
• Composes and maintains job descriptions.
• Writes all recruiting postings as described by job specifications and management, tracking all resumes/applications, recruiting costs and results.
• Liaisons with various temporary placement agencies and university career centers to assist with seasonal staffing needs.
• Partner with Sr. Director of HR in planning, delivery/facilitation and routine tasks in support of internal training and development programs to staff.
• Effectively leverage, manage, and maintain the HRIS and performance management system in accordance with JPV/Moet Hennessey standards.
• Analyze applicable HR reports and metrics using the HRIS and perform analysis to support HR decisions and communicate highlights and/or action plan recommendations to Sr. Director of HR.
• Become expert in HRIS, data entry and report pulling.
• Embraces and commits to any and all evolving sustainable business practices that may be implemented on a department or winery wide basis.
• Manage special projects as required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
• 5 to 7 years of human resource management experience required
• Proven ability to influence others to drive organizational change
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Bilingual skills preferred
• Experience in screening and interviewing job applicants
• Experience with the use of applicant tracking software and HR databases
• Knowledge of social media and professional networks
• Ability to prioritize and manage time efficiently
• Effective communication skills, and a thorough understanding of process management and continuous improvement
• Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point, and human resources information systems
• Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
• Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations in CA
• Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organizations HRIS and talent management systems
• Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work in an evolving environment with enthusiasm
• Good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions
