Job Description:

Quintessa is seeking a full-time Maintenance Tech who is highly motivated, self-starter with high standards of quality and a desire to excel. The ideal candidate will possess a wide array of technical skills and be proficient at them all, with specialization in electrical and mechanical equipment.



KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES.



•  Operate, maintain and repair a wide array of mechanical and electrical equipment including but not limited small motors, winery equipment, controls, and fleet vehicles; including troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, electrical systems, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, fabricating, and field service.
•  Very strong aptitude for repair and fabrication of stainless-steel winery parts.
•  Perform routine checks/repair of all pertinent equipment as well as diagnose and evaluate problems/repairs on all systems.
•  Safely and effectively utilize power tools including grinders, cutters, drills, saws and sanders.
•  Maintain parts inventory and maintain current technical information for repair of machinery.
•  Maintain preventative maintenance program including tracking, reporting and management of paper trail of all work performed.
•  Maintain the shop buildings for cleanliness, safety, and usability.
•  Maintain the standard for quality control among shop staff.
•  Must be capable of troubleshooting and problem solving with limited assistance.
•  Must be able to work independently maintaining positive working relationships in a team environment.
•  Must have strong verbal communication skills.
•  Forklift certification, or ability to certify is required.
•  Must be capable of reading and writing technical manuals and following written instructions.
•  Follow safety procedures set forth by company safety department.
•  Previous vineyard and/or winery maintenance & repair experience preferred.
•  Water or irrigation systems repair and maintenance helpful.
•  Bottling line, winery harvest equipment, conveyance systems, pumps and HVAC experience helpful.




TRAITS



•  Knowledge at an intermediate or higher level of computer programs such as Excel and Word are helpful.
•  Willingness to continue training with new products as they become available to remain proficient
•  Must be able to repeatedly lift 50 lbs. and occasionally lift up to 80 lbs. without aid or assistance.
•  Must be able to walk and stand for most of the day; turn, twist, bend, crouch, extend, climb ladders, and have a full range of motion in all varieties of physical movement, while using tools, holding loads, and working with one's hand.
•  Must have highly developed hand to eye coordination and be able to work with hands on tasks from delicate operations to large, heavy applications such as automotive parts repairs and engine maintenance.
•  Must possess a High School diploma or GED, College degree highly desirable
•  Valid California driver's license
•  Minimum of three years winery or fabrication, and maintenance experience required
•  Minimum of five years of experience in one or more technical trades working in similar circumstances such as a mechanical plant, factory, or production facility required
•  Stainless and aluminum welding experience highly desirable.
•  Ability
•  to be licensed, permitted, and/or certified by state and/or local regulatory bodies.




PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

•  Ability to lift and carry up to (40 Lbs)
•  Must be at least 21 years of age
•  Ability to perform physically demanding tasks outdoors in changing weather conditions
•  Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays and periodic overtime
•  Able to stand for long periods of time
•  Able to walk on flat and sloped terrain
•  Requires the ability to sit bend, stoop, twist and walk over uneven surfaces for prolonged periods of time
