RELIABILITY MAINTENANCE ENGINEERING INTERNSHIP PROGRAM (6 MONTHS)
LOCATION: MODESTO, LIVINGSTON, OR FRESNO CA
Engineering Description
Located at the E. & J. Gallo Winery's headquarters in Modesto, California, this facility is the center for production, distribution, and corporate decision making for the Domestic and International businesses. Interns work with experienced engineers to learn and assist in the below activities, including developing and testing potential solutions to ongoing systemic issues, as well as putting new processes in place. Interns will work in one or several of the following areas: Facility and Reliability Maintenance, Production, and Wine & Spirits.
Job Summary
The Reliability Maintenance Engineering department is searching for appropriate candidates to fill our 6 month Internship Program (July-December 2023). Working closely with Engineers throughout the winery, the intern's essential functions are as follows:
Supports the development of the equipment maintenance plan (EMP) for assets, such as researching vendor/OEM manufacturing equipment recommendation, executing data analysis on asset, facilitating cross-functional SME team meetings, and validating EMP.
Support and or lead FMEAs for assigned areas.Supports PM optimization for assigned areas.
Conducts and supports data analysis and root cause analysis as needed.
Leverages precision maintenance standards: Shaft alignment, balancing, torqueing, machine anchor, softfoot, v-belt installation, roller chain installation, etc.
Investigates and resolves work-in-process problems.
Recommends and implements improvements and modifications in sequence of operations, equipment utilization, and related matters.
Plans and develops experimental test programs.
Coordinates activities of project personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule and within prescribed budget.
Works on multiple projects requiring forefront engineering envision and innovative solutions and is self-supervising within guidance and expectations set by their leader.
Collaborates with Maintenance Team Members to develop technical job plans.
Improving equipment documentation.
Researching alternative equipment or technologies to deliver improved reliability.

Minimum Requirements
• High School diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate.
• Currently enrolled at a college or university and working towards a Bachelor's degree in the School of Engineering; OR a Bachelor's degree from the School of Engineering.
• Available for the entire duration of this internship program - July 2023 through December 2023.
• Requires availability to work evenings, weekends and holidays when necessary.
Compensation
Hiring Hourly Range Posted: $24.00 -$27.00
Actual compensation paid within the range will be determined by factors such as the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data
Preferred Requirements
• Junior or Senior class standing at a college or university and working towards a Bachelor's degree in the School of Engineering.
• Working towards Minor or Masters in Reliability and Maintainability Engineering.
• Working towards or possesses a degree in one of the following areas: Industrial, Mechanical, Biosystems, Electrical, and Chemical Engineering.
• Previous internship experience.
• Manufacturing experience.
• SAP or other computerized maintenance management systems.
• Familiarity with statistical software.
• Basic knowledge of statistical analysis methods.
• Basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing and problem solving skills
Physical Demands and Work Environment
• Wet/Slippery conditions vary and may include work in rain.
