Excellent employment opportunity with an expanding, dynamic wholesaler/importer to develop a territory with immense growth potential with independent retailers and restaurants in either the DC / Maryland or DC / Virginia markets. Training will be directed in both markets by our President of Sales.
Standard work week of Monday through Friday with some occasional evening and Saturday tastings with retail wine shop accounts.
Nuts and Bolts:
Create an effective marketing and sales strategy with the president of sales to maximize sales and growth.
Develop broad base of support in accounts for our international, proprietary and United States brands.
Work with the accounts to provide wine educational programs and point-of-sale, materials and host winemaker dinners and pouring events.
Attend weekly meetings via Zoom with three owners and teammates.
Schedule weekly phone and/or in-person meetings one on one with the President of Sales.
Follow up, when necessary, with the president and managing director to reconcile any billing issues within sales territory.
Responsible for communicating directly with logistics department regarding any specific ordering or shipping details for accounts.
Meet or exceed agreed upon goals with the help of a monthly/quarterly plan developed with the president of sales.
Direct access to the three partners and fellow team members to achieve maximum sales within territory.
Dependable, well-maintained personal vehicle.
Cell phone with texting capabilities.
Current, up-to-date computer with appropriate apps (e.g., Excel, Outlook, Word, Browser, Zoom capabilities).
At home office or access to public common space with internet access
Commensurate with industry experience.
Base salary plus commission on all sales within designated territory
