Massanois ( is a New York City-based national importer and direct distributor of fine wine and craft spirits. We curate and represent a portfolio of quality-driven family-owned wineries and distilleries from around the world.

We are direct (Importer & Distributor) in New York, New Jersey, Illinois, California, Washington DC, and Virginia, and work in another 40+ States with a network of like-minded, independent, quality distributors.

About the Job:

New York and New Jersey Sales Manager based in our New York City Office. Lead and grow this eight figure sales territory by managing the sales team, developing the account base, and achieving company revenue targets. Reports directly to ownership, and work with managers to achieve company sales, account and team growth goals while helping to create a culture of success. Compensation is salary plus territory commission, expenses reimbursement and goal bonuses. Additional perks include international and domestic travel opportunities. * Work with Management to develop and achieve New York and New Jersey sales goals.
* Responsible for group monthly and annual growth and revenue goals.
* Team builder with a talent for bringing people together to achieve individual, group, and company goals.
* Drive individual sales rep performances to ensure account, revenue and brand goals are being met.
* Conduct weekly sales team meetings.
* Execute key account strategy across NY/NJ to drive revenue and support sales team members to grow their revenue.
* Support sales team members in the market to achieve individual, account and company revenue goals.
* Support sales team with market analytics, including account targeting guidance, account sales optimization.
* Develop a pipeline of sales team candidates to grow the team and meet revenue goals.
* Direct sales team training and education programs.
* Provide weekly and monthly reporting on sales team execution successes and challenges to ownership and the brand team.
* Monitor sales trends and inventory positions in NY and NJ.
* Collaborate with the brand team to execute on NY/NJ brand launch, sales, marketing and account goals.


Knowledge/Skills/Attributes Required:
* 5+ years of experience in wine sales in New York.
* Strong knowledge of all wine regions; strengths in Italian, French, and Domestic.
* You think like a brand builder when executing your sales plan.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills – communicate wine stories to accounts and sales teams in a quick, efficient manner.
* Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics.
* Proven leadership and prior management experience. Ability to drive sales teams.
* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
* Strong Excel and Google Sheets skills is a requirement.
* Proficient at using Microsoft Office, Outlook and PowerPoint, or Google equivalents.
* Working knowledge of a plus.
* Time Management – you are good at identifying priorities and managing your time to meet goals and deadlines.
