Role can be US Remote for the right individual

As a E-Commerce Analytics Data Engineer you will transform data into a format that can be easily analyzed and deploys data products in a multiplatform ecosystem. Develops, maintains, and tests data pipelines for data generation. You will help to scale computational environments, establish cloud infrastructure and design across the development team as well as inform, develop, and deploy microservices and scale data science models.

What You Will Do:

Creates ETLs (Extract Transform Load), validates, and supports data movement.
Assembles large complex sets of data that meet non-functional and functional business requirements.
Analyzes complex data elements, systems, data flows, dependencies, and relationships to contribute to conceptual, physical, and logical data models.
Develops the Logical Data Model and Physical Data Models including data warehouse and data mart designs.
Identifies, initiates, designs and implements internal process improvements including re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, optimizing data delivery, and automating manual processes.
Builds required pipeline for optimal extraction, transformation and loading of data from various data sources using ANSI SQL technologies.
Builds analytical tools to utilize the data pipeline, providing actionable insight into key business performance metrics including operational efficiency and customer acquisition.
Works with stakeholders including the Executive, Product, Data and Design teams to support data infrastructure needs while assisting with data-related technical issues.
Deploys analytics programs, machine learning and statistical methods.
Prepares data for predictive and prescriptive modeling.
Containerizes workloads by processing to be used by a receiving system allowing for more isolated workloads, to increase quality and decrease conflicts between job requirements.
Builds and optimizes data sets, 'big data' data pipelines and architectures.
Performs root cause analysis on external and internal processes and data to identify opportunities for improvement and answer questions that arise.
Builds processes that support data transformation, workload management, data structures, dependency and metadata.
Maintains satisfactory attendance, to include timeliness.
Responsible for understanding and complying with applicable quality, environmental and safety regulatory considerations. If accountable for the work of others, responsible for ensuring their understanding and compliance.

What You Will Need:

Master's Degree in Computer Science, MIS, Mathematics, Systems Engineering, Data Sciences, Physics, or Economics plus experience working in a product or platform development environment; OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, MIS, Mathematics, Systems Engineering, Data Sciences, Economics, or Physics plus 2 years of experience working in a product or platform development environment reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR Bachelor's Degree plus 3 years of experience working in a product or platform development environment reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 7 years of experience working in a product or platform development environment reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
Experience in 2 of the following Database technologies: Oracle, Hana, MsSQL, Postgres, Neo4J, RedShift.
Experience Processing Data Streams.
2 years programming experience within Python.
Ability to write ANSI SQL queries.
Knowledge of basic programming against Spark.
Experience creating Containerized workloads.
Experience designing, building and optimizing a denormalized, analytical data model.
Experience performing root cause analysis on internal and external processes and data to identify opportunities for improvement and to answer questions.

What Will Set You Apart:

Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, MIS, Mathematics, Systems Engineering, Data Sciences, Physics, or Economics plus 2 years of experience working in a product or platform development environment reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, MIS, Mathematics, Systems Engineering, Data Sciences, Economics, or Physics plus 4 years of working in a product or platform development environment reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
AWS Certified in Big Data.
AWS Certified Solution Architect.
Experience with Big data tools such as Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, etc.
Experience with AWS cloud services: Ec2, EMR, RDS, Redshift, etc.
Experience with data modeling and schema design complete with proven data transformation capabilities.
Experience building and optimizing 'big data' data pipelines and architectures.
Excellent analytical skills associated with working on datasets.

Compensation

Hiring Salary Range: $72,335 - $127,700.
Actual compensation amount paid may be lower or higher to be determined by factors other than race and gender such as the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
