We are currently seeking candidates for an Associate Quality Improvement Technician to join our team at Columbia Crest Winery in Paterson, WA.

What you will do:

•  This position is responsible for maintenance of Quality Improvement Standard Operating Procedures and Material Specifications through testing and inspection. These procedures and specifications are designed to ensure Saint Michelle Wine Estates maintains a high quality standard for its products and adheres to all applicable regulatory standards.
•  Inspect and assess packaging components (glass, corks, labels, capsules)
•  Evaluate bottling line sanitation and monitor critical control points
•  Inspect in-process and post-process packaged goods, and provide prompt and accurate feedback to bottling supervisor and line personnel
•  Perform physical stability tests on finished wines
•  Maintain accurate/current packaging and bottling related records
•  Communicate packaging and performance issues to appropriate internal groups
•  Ensure compliance with Federal requirements for printed packaging material declarations and wine container fill volumes
•  Ensure that packaging specifications are current and communicated to line personnel

What you will bring:

•  High School Diploma or equivalent required
•  Experience in wine, food, or beverage industry preferred
•  Statistical Process Control and Six Sigma experience a plus
•  Ability to work in self-directed team environment
•  Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
•  Ability to work varied shifts and extended hours
•  Computer literacy
