We are currently seeking candidates for a Lab Tech I to join our team at Columbia Crest in Paterson, WA.

What you will do:

•  Adhere to company and department goals optimizing laboratory work towards quality, safety, and efficiency. Perform analysis according to approved SOPs and provide reliable analytical results to laboratory clients.
•  Operate, calibrate, and maintain analytical instrument systems with some ability for troubleshooting
•  Maintain quality assurance records and work station records
•  Perform testing, as trained and qualified to do, related to wine manufacturing
•  Record and report analytical results
•  Follow health and safety procedures
•  Support procedures for health, safety, good housekeeping practices and good stewardship in waste management
•  Be organized with ability to prioritize; ability to multi-task is preferred
•  Coordinate work with others and work in close proximity with others, or work independently
•  Maintain chemical safety awareness; experience in handling chemicals is preferred
•  Maintain math and computation skills with accuracy and legibility of records
•  Be proficient in computerized data entry
•  Laboratory environment working with wine laboratory chemicals
•  Warehouse & manufacturing environment working with large volumes of wine, wine packaging materials, and glassware
•  Duties performed at a computer workstation
•  Duties performed outdoors with exposure to elements
•  Requires extended work hours during harvest season and some evenings and/or weekends

What you will bring:

•  Associate degree or 2 years college course work in a science discipline (chemistry, bio-chemistry or related science field preferred
•  Analytical laboratory experience with background in operation of laboratory instrument systems is preferred
•  Practical experience in a manufacturing laboratory is preferred
•  Ability to maintain and troubleshoot analytical instrumentation
