We are currently seeking highly qualified candidates for aDirector of Business Development to join our team.The Director of Business Development will be responsible for developing channel strategy, communicating strategic initiatives, forecasting risks/opportunities, evaluating programming and execution, providing insights and analysis, and supporting capability development of the sales organization.

What you will do:

•  Manage two Sales Analysts with the intent to expand the team to include additional sales support headcount as needed
•  Oversee all region reporting (i.e. financial, sales, distribution, execution, inventory, etc.)
•  Lead collection and forecasting of all region risks/opportunities as part of the Integrated Business Planning process
•  Communicate and track all regional chain activity to deliver best-in-class execution
•  Act as the liaison for all headquarter/national initiatives
•  Develop and implement regional merchandising standards for shelf and display opportunities by channel
•  Develop channel strategy to integrate go-to-market standards across all segments of retail business
•  Develop standardized templates for distributor management across the region
•  Train and coach all region employees on sales reporting tools and systems
•  Work with region sales team as needed to build a center of excellence for sales training and execution

What you will bring:

•  Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, presentation, reconciliation, and prioritization abilities / skills, including but not limited to:
•  Ability to gain insights from analytics to develop Strategic Sales and Marketing Plans for responsible geography
•  Ability to build stakeholder relationships with Corporate and Brand Management to align resources and drive execution
•  Ability to successfully raise the capability of the organization through development and performance management
•  Strong communication skills to provide focus for distributors and internal organization and drive results
•  Advanced level Excel experience as well as strong software skills with proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, including Outlook. Experience with Cognos 7 and or 10 is a plus.
•  Must be an analytical, organized, detail-oriented team player with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
•  Strong communication skills, both written and oral
•  Bachelor's degree required
•  Experience with IRI data
•  Experience with managing a team
•  Ability to perform assigned duties and responsibilities which may include sitting for extended periods of time and operating office equipment
•  Experience in Sales calling on a customer or territory
