We are currently seeking highly qualified candidates for a General Ledger Accounting Manager to join our team in Woodinville, WA. This is a key position within the Accounting team who is responsible for the oversight of Ste. Michelle Wine Estate's general ledger and financial accounting/reporting. This position will prepare and analyze accounting reports, ensuring compliance with GAAP and company policies. This includes the accurate and timely preparation of corporate financial statements for distribution to company management.

What you will do:

•  Responsible for JDE/E1 administration and the maintenance of the chart of accounts.
•  Assist other SMWE departments with data mining and trouble shooting.
•  Responsible for the accurate and timely preparation of corporate financial statements across multiple entities with complex intercompany arrangements. Ensure presentation is in accordance with GAAP and company policy.
•  Ensure that proper internal controls and segregation of duties exist within the ERP system.
•  Responsible for a wide range of JDE report writing. Utilize knowledge of business and date structure to ensure reporting is timely and accurate.
•  Responsible for the preparation and timely processing of general ledger transactions. Work closely with Accounting staff to ensure that all deadlines related to the monthly accounting close process are satisfied.
•  Assist accounting management with the following:

•  Audits - preparation of required audit schedules to comply with external audit requests.
•  Ad hoc reporting - prepare financial and analytical reports to satisfy internal management and parent company requests. Work with other team members to maximize system resources including JDE/E1, BI Publisher and Reports Now.
•  Special projects - participate in special projects as needed, providing JDE/E1 and accounting process expertise.

What you will bring:

•  Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related
•  CPA preferred
•  Public Accounting experience preferred
•  Working knowledge of GAAP
•  Five to seven years of accounting experience
•  Desire to advance into accounting management
•  Must possess strong Microsoft Office skills
•  Proficient knowledge and use of automated accounting systems
•  JD Edwards/E1 systems experience preferred
•  Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
•  Excellent verbal and written communication skills
•  Must be a self-motivated team player who is able to handle multiple priorities within deadlines
