Job Description:

Chandon was sparked into life in 1973 by the visionary spirit of Robert-Jean de Vogüé and California pioneer John Wright. As one of the first French-owned sparkling wine ventures in the U.S., Chandon carefully selected its vineyards and are now considered to be amongst the best for producing quality sparkling wines in California.

For over forty years now, Chandon continues to combine traditional French techniques and winemaking knowledge with the beautiful, sun-ripened fruit of California to craft sparkling wines of the highest quality.

Chandon’s winery, Domaine Chandon is located in Yountville and today Head Winemaker Pauline Lhote and her skilled team continue to innovate and provide a unique expression of the terroir, delighting senses with California brightness, vibrancy and intensity of flavors and aromas.

Performs all aspects of position with efficiency, attention to detail, respect, friendliness, professionalism, teamwork, knowledge, patience, awareness, compassion, courtesy, and initiative.
Represents the Chandon professionally through effective communication, cooperation, and relationships with all business partners.
Fully participate in all training sessions – including but not limited to the following topics: Wine + Food, Safety & Security
Prequalifying leads (generated via triple seat, yelp, email) by responding with pertinent information
Maintain & log all client communications via Triple seat
Responsible for prompt handling (within the business day) of inquiry calls and monitoring the efficient flow of administrational requirements. Including but not limited to proposals and contracts
Assist with taking deposits according to payment schedule.

Training & Education
Fully participate in all training sessions – including but not limited to the following topics: Wine + Food, Safety & Security

Lead generation and conversion
Assist Manager on all administrational planning aspects (BEO’s, run of show)
Coordinate vendor set ups, rental orders, and changes along the planning process
Ensure all events are accurately recorded and tracked in Tripleseat (contact information, BEO details, estimates, payments etc.)
Support in the coordination of internal and external staffing. Works with the Events Manager to build a pool of part-time on call banquet staff members to work events
Produce 3 Month Look-Ahead Listing of Events for weekly BEO Meetings. Participate in BEO Meetings with all required team members
Create and print menus where needed
Manage and execute all internal meetings, Club Events and VIP visits
Actively lead opening or closing shift by following information detailed on BEO. Supports Operational team with the setup and coordination of events day of event
Supports the planning and coordination of all events hosted (and ticketed) by Chandon
Manage all external vendors by ensuring timely and accurate set up/ receiving of ordered items (i.e. furniture)
Maintains positive external vendor relationships & communications with all event staff (internal and external)
Ensure all final event charges have been posted according to BEO and final consumption sheets
Generate “thank you” notes to clients with prompt follow up of negative client feedback as necessary
Conduct frequent market research monitoring market mix/ pricing and industry trends
Create tracking for advertising and promotion monies obligated throughout the year along with a timeline for due dates associated with the advertising/ promotional materials
Assist Experience Managers in the ordering and budget tracking of printing materials
Maintain exceptional Chandon Home standards, including overall cleanliness & communicating any outstanding repair issues to Maintenance Team
Provide leadership, based on experience, through changes by identifying & overcoming obstacles & creating efficiencies
Actively take ownership of the communication on any potential safety risks or repair needs
Take ownership of our assets & act with integrity
Provide clear communication to both co-workers & guests regarding Chandon’s responsible hospitality policy & procedure

Professional Experience
Proven food and beverage management, Event planning/ sales or Office Management experience
Strong understanding of consumer trends & behaviors
Ability to spot and resolve problems efficiently, guest-oriented and service-minded
Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
Capable of working in a fast-paced hospitality environment

Technical & Management Skills
Effective at building teams, ability to motivate others, ability to manage vision and purpose, ability to set and deliver against priorities, ability to deal with ambiguity
Expertise in the use of modern technologies and strong ability to deliver presentations
Must be proficient with intermediate to advanced computer skills in the following: MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Must also be competent in electronic calendar software (i.e. MS Outlook)
