Job Description:

Ballentine is a 100% estate-grown winery with a lot of growth opportunities. We are a small family winery in the historic Napa Valley, in need of a passionate wine enthusiast who excels at sales, customer service, relationship building, and sharing their wine expertise with our visitors and wine club members.

Ballentine is seeking a hard-working individual who wants to elevate our hospitality and winery experience to develop connections with our clients and increase sales and memberships for winery growth. We need someone who is a fast learner, self-motivated, creative thinker who enjoys sharing their love of wine and can help us bring our Napa vineyard to the next level. This person needs to be a natural salesperson, passionate about wine and understands all aspects of hospitality and wine sales. Approximately 70% of this position is hosting guests at our winery.


•  Professional
•  Proven track record of wine sales
•  Existing relationships with local driving services and concierge
•  Customer service and hospitality experience
•  Outgoing and approachable
•  Strong communicator
•  Team player but can work independently
•  Strong problem-solving skills
•  Goal-oriented with a positive attitude
•  Knowledge of Napa Valley wineries and restaurants
•  Always looking at ways to improve things
•  Willing to work weekends & attend after hour events

Primary responsibilities:

•  Host wine experiences that make a positive impression
•  Have a strong ability to sell all wines, club memberships, and the story of the winery to guests virtually, on the phone, and in-person
•  Drive visitation and traffic for the winery
•  Be a key team member that helps improve the winery and guest experience
•  Develop new tasting experiences for guests – online and in-person
•  Create and maintain referral relationships with wineries, hotels, and drivers
•  Assist other team members when needed in tasks (events, shipping, etc.)

Compensation: Competitive DOE + sales commission & wine club signups + Health Benefits + 401k
