Job Description:

Position Purpose

Acting on own initiative, this position is a strategic partner who provides human capital support that aligns with the key priorities of the business. Manages the activities involved in the development and administration of human resources policies, programs, and systems in support of department and corporate goals and objectives. Directly supports complex organizational clients/departments and initiatives.

Essential Duties

•  Initiates strategy and/or action plans that addresses employee relations issues; conducts complex or sensitive investigations in consultation with management, identifies patterns, trends or risks internally and externally that effect workplace relations; collaborates with leaders and influences the need for action
•  Provides guidance and coaching to management; ensures consistency in performance management and compensation alignment while maintaining internal equity across client groups; understands and seeks the broader themes in performance related matters; identifies root causes and takes appropriate action
•  Understands the business strategy and inter-connectivity of departments provides actionable data to the organization; supports and champions organizational change initiatives to client groups by developing and implementing communication and change management plans; uses business knowledge to inform and set HR priorities
•  Identifies trends, builds strategies and practices that preserve and enhance DFW's Company culture towards a more constructive one
•  •  Acts as project owner/Subject Matter Expert (SME) for one or more core HR and/or Company projects; identifies and drives process improvements needed across the business and within HR
•  •  Partners with client groups and Talent Acquisition (TA) to determine staffing needs, coordinate recruiting activity and align talent assessment capabilities within the business; supports TA in analysis of sourcing strategy and provides data and feedback to business leaders
•  Supports business leaders and hiring managers in forecasting and planning their talent pipeline requirements and talent review in line with the function/business strategy; provides support and guidance regarding use of temporary employees
•  Collaborates with management and Learning and Development team to ensure that career and training opportunities are being identified for employees; contributes, coordinates and facilitates training programs
•  Meets reporting requirements and monitors compliance with all relevant laws and regulations; protects confidentiality of highly sensitive information
•  Remains apprised of current trends, conditions, legislative changes, and handling of HR functions; partners and consults with Legal department to ensure compliance and consistency
•  Provides back up support for daily, general HR functions as needed

Minimum Requirements

Education and Experience

•  Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field
•  7+ years of progressively broad Human Resources management experience with large and diverse client groups

Certificates and Licenses

•  Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification desired
•  Valid driver's license, appropriate automobile insurance coverage, and clean driving record

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

•  Demonstrates organizational savvy and understands the connection with HR and the business strategy
•  Strong understanding of positive employee relations, HR's role in OSHA compliance and effective utilization of a contingent workforce.
•  Ability to understand how to analyze, identify issues and draws insights from data, determine root cause and identify any trends
•  Proven organizational and project management skills; ability to be a lead and/or subject matter expert on business initiative(s)
•  Ability to problem-solve, assess trends or issues with client groups and make recommendations to implement across the business
•  Interprets polices and applies judgment for the application of the business
•  Effective team player; understands and demonstrates a hands-on approach to providing HR support
•  Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization; excellent coaching, counseling, and conflict resolution skills and abilities
•  Values a team-oriented environment and exemplifies behavior for the greater good of the team
•  Proficient with MS Windows Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) and HRIS software

Working Conditions

•  Office based position with occasional or regular exposure to winery facilities
•  Required to drive automotive equipment
