Job Description:

Rasa Vineyards is a small, family-run winery in Walla Walla, Washington, focusing on premium wines that showcase the best of what Washington vineyards have to offer. We are seeking harvest interns who are passionate about learning HANDS ON how to make wine. This intern will have the opportunity to learn about multiple different wine making styles from multiple winemakers in the same facility.

Job Duties:
-Help execute all vinification processes under instruction from the Rasa winemaking team: this includes grape processing and pressing, fermentation management, grape sampling, and barrel work.
-Follow safety protocols. This includes crush pad equipment protocols, cleaning and sanitation protocols, and fermentation management protocols.

Job Requirements:
-Must be able to lift and carry up to 50lbs.
-Must be able to follow detailed instructions
-Previous fermentation or harvest experience is a bonus but not required (a week-long ‘training camp’ can be arranged in early August if needed)
-Forklift Certification is a bonus
-Preferably an interest in wine, fermentation, or just a good day’s work

Logistics and Pay
When intern is needed: Late August to Early November (grapes aren’t that specific)
Expected Hours: 40-60 hours a week, depending on growing conditions of this years’ grapes
Wage: $17 an hour, with overtime
Housing NOT provided (That being said, Walla Walla is a small place. We may be able to help find lodging if a candidate reaches out ahead of time)
