Job Description:

Bending Branch Winery in the Texas Hill Country AVA is known for premium bold red wines and as the Tannat House of Texas. Our team is growing, and we're building upon the success of virtual and corporate tasting experiences that we developed during the pandemic.

The new Corporate Sales Specialist position encompasses customer service, data management, retail sales, ground level marketing, and more. This person is key in coordinating with the Direct to Consumer Manager on existing and new corporate sales strategies.

Job Responsibilities:
Customer Service: Exemplify consistent delivery of exceptional customer service and problem-solving skills, following company guidelines and procedures. Quick development of a thorough knowledge of winery services, products, and policies is critical.
Technology: Develop a complete knowledge of our POS (WineDirect), reservation system (Tock), and shipping systems. Log customer contacts in their profiles and maintain customer data. Must be able to create and run Zoom meetings.
Wine Tasting: Serve customers using comprehensive knowledge of wine and the winery, with optimum sales performance as the goal. Conduct tastings virtually and in person.
NOTE: While wine knowledge is a plus, we will train a great candidate. The desire and willingness to learn with ambition is a must!
Sales: Utilize excellent sales skills via phone, email, and in person to sell winery products and services to customers with both winery goals and customer needs in mind. Must be able to solicit new business.
-Generate and qualify leads through outbound calling to our membership and customer base.
-Analyze opportunities and consistently seek out new business relationships.
-Manage leads by tracking and following up on them.
-Close sales and meet quarterly sales goals.
-Produce activity reports.
-May also be required to answer and service inbound wine club, and ecommerce calls and correspondence.
Regulations: Is knowledgeable of TTB and TABC rules and regulations and ensures compliance with them.
Communication: Possess superior professional communication skills. Effectively communicate with all team members and customers.
Marketing: Contribute creative ideas for corporate sales and group experiences.
Administrative: Strong computer, written, phone and professional skills to communicate with other employees, customers, vendors, and clients, is required. Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Suite products is preferred. Proven ability to work within shared documents.

Previous sales experience
Previous winery, retail and/or hospitality experience required
Previous experience with WineDirect or a similar point of sale system is required
Previous experience with Tock or a similar reservation management system is preferred
Energetic, outgoing personality and excellent communication skills
Good interpersonal skills, including the ability to listen
Interest in and willingness to learn the wine business
Must be over 21, able to lift 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods of time
Must be able to work some weekends and holidays
Must be able to work independently, and also in a team setting
Excellent organization and attention to detail
Proven track record of following company guidelines
Discretion with confidential information
Duties could be performed remotely with some onsite required
Some travel required
