DESCRIPTION OF THE ASSOCIATION:

The Napa Valley Vintners (NVV) is a non-profit association comprised of nearly 550 wineries. The member wineries range in size from small family-owned operations producing as few as 100 cases, to larger wineries producing over one million cases of wine each year. Our mission is to promote, protect and enhance the Napa Valley.

PURPOSE:
The Program Operations Manager is responsible for executing marketing experiences to help position Napa Valley as the premier wine growing region.

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of three years’ experience in project management including experience with event coordination
- Ability to manage budgets and contractors
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Teams
- Basic understanding of wine and wine industry terminology; knowledge of proper serving and storage of wine
- Go-getter who is motivated to grow skill set and be extremely detail oriented
- An enthusiastic and supportive work ethic with dedication to excellence
- Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Flexible and adaptable to evolving work assignments with ability to manage multiple priorities
- Ability to lift and move multiple cases of wine (40 – 50 lbs. each) and other boxed goods

REPORTING:
The Program Operations Manager reports directly to the Trade Relations Director who reports to the Vice President of Marketing

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage and execute the Napa Valley Vintners marketing programs and events focus on meeting set objectives with the upmost quality and reflective of the caliber of Napa Valley wines including:
- Collective Napa Valley: Oversee and execute seasonal offerings and experiences during the year (virtual and in-person, in Napa Valley and outside of Napa Valley)
- Premiere Napa Valley: Act as the primary staff contact for event production and execution
- Napa Valley Vintners: Manage and lead all NVV event operations including members events, general membership meetings and marketing and promotions events

Execute all programs with the highest standards including:
- Manage and work within established standards and operating budgets
- Manage third party vendors as needed
- Produce production guides and event timelines and act as the primary from Kick off through implementation
- Be the advocate and lead the NVV’s responsible hospitality program
- Successfully lead all volunteers by managing the recruiting program, conducting orientations, providing responsible hospitality training, and appreciating our volunteers
- Continue NVV’s standard of producing ‘green’ events by implementing recycling and responsible practices at each function

Valuable member of the NVV team:
- Works cooperatively with other members of the Marketing Team to assist with projects and programs as assigned
- Ability to lift and move multiple cases of wine (40 – 50 lbs. each) and other boxed goods
- Maintains a positive, supportive, cooperative, proactive and can-do attitude towards work and co-workers in fulfilling the mission of the NVV.
