Job Description:

Rutherford Hill Winery, located in Rutherford, California, is seeking a full-time Bottling Line Operator to join our team. The Bottling Line Operator is responsible for autonomously setting up, operating and shutting down multiple workstations within the bottling department. This position is also capable of following standard work methods, performing all required quality checks, filling out required documentation and practicing safe work habits to ensure production is as efficient and safe as possible.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
•  Complete understanding of the specific safety procedures for the bottling department
•  Follows all safety procedures and guidelines. Identifies safety hazards and communicates to team members and leadership
•  Safely and efficiently operate all pieces of equipment on the bottling line to meet or exceed established production goals in a cost-effective manner.
•  Perform all required in-process quality checks, final production quality control checks and fill out all required forms for the bottling department.
•  Assist in line change-overs.
•  Able to stop a bottling line due to unsafe conditions or unacceptable quality results.
•  Ability to pack bottles in cases, lift up to 50 lbs., stack full boxes properly, perform specialized rework projects, and perform basic packaging duties.
•  Basic forklift skills
•  Participate in team meetings and continuous improvement initiatives.
•  Contribute to and uphold Rutherford Hill quality standards.
•  General Housekeeping and cleaning of workstation at all times.
•  Ability to work weekends, off-shifts, and overtime when required by business needs.
•  Performs cellar duties (e.g. harvest) during non-bottling months.
•  Performs new duties as assigned by the Cellar and Bottling Manager

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, experience and/ or abilities required.
•  Must be able to read and write English
•  Basic computer skills
•  Ability to “multi-task” and handle various duties within a work schedule
•  Highly motivated and strives for excellence within the bottling organization
•  Capable of working under general supervision
•  Good vision and awareness
•  Safety and sanitation knowledge
•  Physical stamina to handle full cases of wine
•  Ability to work well with others
•  Ability to lift 50 lbs.
•  Punctual and arrives to work on time
•  Must provide proof of full Covid-19 vaccination
