Tasting Room Manager
Lucid & Voluptuary Wines, a natural & organic micro-winery, located in Sacramento, is seeking a highly motivated, positive, and energetic individual to join our tasting room team and leadership team. This role encompasses Tasting Room Manager at 2-3 locations, Wine Club Management, Event Organization & Execution, FOH and BOH elements, and basically all the fun stuff :) You will be at the helm of the physical, in-person customer-facing side of Voluptuary & Lucid Wines alongside Owner & Winemaker Kevin Luther & Sales Manager Jenna Buford, working with a team of A-players at a fast-growing and innovative wine business. Tasting Room Management- ensures the tasting room(s) are presentable, stocked, and ready to welcome our guests. Runs day-to-day tasting room, event & wine club operations directly as well as via management and delegation of staff. POS management, training, reconciliation. Manages inventory. Schedules & trains staff ensures staff productivity while on shift. Estimated ~60% of role.
On-Site Event Management - intakes all on-site event inquiries. Works with clients to set up details of events in accordance with our policies and fees. Schedules & plans to ensure smooth event execution vis-a-vis normal tasting room operations (staffing, space, etc). Is the point of contact day-of for the event. Works to ensure outside vendors are set up and we have assigned the proper amount of staff to support the event and the event. Estimated ~20% of role.
Wine Club Coordination and Support- works with the sales manager to organize incoming sign ups, promotes wine club inside the tasting room, runs onsite wine club events and helps coordinate/process on site wine club pick ups. Estimated ~20% of role.
Seasonal Virtual Sales & Event Support- as needed works with the virtual sales team to support high volume times of year where incoming bookings are at their peak. Estimated ~0%+ of role “as & if needed”

Must be a people person, no matter what, with endless patience and grace under fire
Wine knowledge is a bonus, the willingness to learn is key
5+ years in the service and/or wine industries, that included a supervisory role
Must be 21 years of age or older
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Must be able to stand for 6-7 hours a day
Must be available to work Saturdays and Sunday, including holidays
Must be able to maintain all relevant beverage & food handling certifications

Reports To: Jenna Buford, Sales Manager
Works with: Manages on-site employees. Works with all departments, including shipping, production, and virtual sales team.
Pay Rate:$25-35 per hour or salary equivalent. Dental, vision, & life insurance benefits, 3% matching IRA starting 2022.
Hours: Full time, 40-32 hours per week, including weekends.
