Job Description:

Objective: Rain Dance Vineyards is searching for an experienced Director of Hospitality that will oversee the operations and management of our new tasting room on Zimri Drive directly above the Allison Inn & Spa. This dynamic individual should have prior experience successfully managing, staffing, and leading a premium/luxury offering, be detail oriented, highly organized, and independently motivated to constantly elevate the Rain Dance guest experience. Their priority will be to lead a small staff of hospitality professionals to drive sales, club acquisition, and ensure the highest level of guest satisfaction. This individual will be the leader of the operation and should emulate our brand story and community pride by creating an environment and culture that values an elevated level of hospitality and customer service, while mentoring and developing a team to authentically promote Rain Dance Vineyards. By being an active leader, this individual will promote teamwork and will create a culture that embodies our values while meeting and exceeding our business objectives.

Job Duties:
•  Be a positive ambassador of Rain Dance Vineyards within the local community.
•  Actively promote the sale of Rain Dance Vineyards wine, club, and merchandise.
•  Build a strong team and positive culture to elevate the guest experience at Rain Dance Vineyards.
•  Develop new initiatives and programs to further the growth of Rain Dance Vineyards.
•  Manage, train, and develop the Tasting Room Associates to achieve financial goals.
•  Build relationships with our members to increase wine club satisfaction.
•  Design metrics and key performance indicators to identify trends and evolve the offering.
•  Elevate service at Rain Dance Vineyards.
•  Manage all personnel activities for the Tasting Room: hiring, onboarding, scheduling, training, and development.
•  Ensure that Rain Dance Vineyards is featured in regional marketing and promotional essentials.
•  Properly staff the customer experience(s) with an eye on labor costs.
•  Develop the annual revenue forecast, budget, and design strategies to achieve results.
•  Lead monthly financial reviews with Ownership.
•  Maintain all sanitary, safety, and health standards in accordance with state and federal law.
•  Control and manage wine inventory.
•  Stay up to date on current wines, vineyards, new releases, and wine club allocations.
•  Maintain prompt attendance.

Ideal Qualifications:
•  Five or more years’ experience in sales and management in hospitality focused organizations
•  Premium / Luxury wine industry experience is preferred.
•  Exceptional management and leadership skills with strong references and examples of prior success
•  Bachelor’s degree in hospitality, business, or a related field is preferred.
•  Certified Sommelier or formal wine training with the Court of Master Sommeliers is a plus.
•  Experience with Commerce7 is a plus.
•  Strong skills in MS Office: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
•  The ability to multi-task and manage time efficiently.
•  A customer-first attitude and the ability to work under pressure with grace and positivity.
•  It is critical that this individual should be a solutions-based thinker with excellent problem-solving skills and confidence in working independently with minimal supervision while being a team player.
•  A valid OLCC Service Permit.
•  Excellent communication skills.
•  Ability to lift 50 pounds.
•  Positive professional demeanor.
•  Available evenings and weekends as needed.
•  Reliable transportation, proof of insurance, valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
