Job Description:

Essential Functions:

•  Provide a high level of customer service to assist the HR team and company's management in HR matters.
•  Communicates directly with the employees and management and answers general questions about company policy, procedures, and best practices
•  Manage day-to-day recruiting activities involving internal and external job posting, resume screening, interview scheduling and candidate interviews and share feedback with hiring manager.
•  Manage new hire process; clears new hires to begin working once the individual has met requirements.
•  Conducts new employee orientation.
•  Assist with termination process involving preparation of separation paperwork, excluding performance action form and exit interviews.
•  Function as liaison between payroll and employees when necessary.
•  Process all HRIS data including but not limited to; new hires/rehires, status changes, employee data updates, etc.
•  Assist with completing the initial worker's compensation intake forms and scheduling any necessary post-accident testing.
•  Responsible for completing employment verifications requests.
•  Assist in managing paid time-off policies including resolving discrepancies and utilizing timesheets to review and adjust entries in the HRIS system.
•  Assist with special employee events and employee recognition programs.
•  Ensure that utmost confidentiality is maintained for all sensitive HR information.
•  Maintains professionalism and engages in respectful behavior in the workplace across all levels of interactions.
•  Supports the HR Department with any projects/ tasks/assignments as assigned.
•  Arrives to work, meetings, appointments, and other work-related functions on time and as scheduled.
•  Ability to work overtime.

Other Functions:

•  Follows all safety policies and procedures; communicate hazards and/or suggest improvements to Manager
•  Occasional travel by auto, rail and/or airplane and occasional overnight stays.
•  Performs additional duties as assigned.
•  Performs additional duties as assigned.

Working Conditions:

Normal office environment. May on occasion enter a warehouse environment.

Equipment/Machinery Used:

Office equipment including telephone, fax machine, copier, computer, calculator, and printer.

Physical Requirements:

Sitting, bending, reaching, manual dexterity, visual acuity, light traveling to other offices.

•  High School Diploma; Associate Degree or higher preferred
•  Minimum of 1-2 years' experience in Human Resources.
•  Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
•  Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
•  Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
•  Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
•  Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
•  Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
•  Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
•  Basic knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
•  Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
•  Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization's HRIS and talent management systems.
