Job Description:

Position Title: Cellar Hand

Department: Operations

Location: Tualatin Brewery

Supervisory Responsibilities: No

Reports to: Cellar Manager

Worker Category: Full-Time

FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt


Position Summary: The Cellar Hand will be part of the cellar crew, responsible for safe and efficient movement of product within the facility.

Job Responsibilities:

Tank cleaning
Tank transfers
Bottling, tank filling, and carbonation
Carbonation and pH testing
General cleaning and stocking - floors, sani-buckets, sprayers
Move pallets from one place to another
Assist the team and team leaders with various tasks throughout the day
Operate forklifts and powered pallet jacks to move material as needed


Qualifications and Experience:

Ability to absorb and interpret explicit production directives throughout the day
Willingness and ability to work as part of a team
A general understanding of the process we use to make our kombucha
Always be aware of your surroundings (forklifts and pallet jacks constantly moving around the warehouse)
Follow GMP and all company policies relating to safety in the workplace

Physical Requirements:

Be able to stand for long periods, 3-4 hours, continuously
Frequently lift up to 50 lb boxes, using proper lifting techniques

Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this position, the worker may be exposed to inside environmental conditions, hot fluids, pressurized vessels and transfer lines, strong odors, chemicals, noise levels above 85 decibels, confined spaces, refrigerated gases, powered industrial trucks, and moving machinery.
