Kukkula is looking for an harvest intern. We are on the west side of Paso Robles in the Adelaida District and are focused on Rhone blends that come from our estate grown, dry-farmed and organic vineyard. The internship could begin as early as the 1st of June and likely run into November. Continued full-time employment is possible after the harvest to qualified candidates.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, assistance in the vineyard during the growing season, grape sampling and monitoring to be ready for harvest when most optimal, help with harvesting, processing fruit, pump-overs, punch-downs, delestage, light lab duty (pH, TA, brix and temp), digging out tanks, barrel work, and lots of cleaning/sanitizing.
This internship will be full time with a 40 hour week until harvest. Harvest hours can be long. Although we will try to maintain 40 hour weeks, harvest days can happen any day of the week, so you’ll need to be available on short notice. Candidates must have a strong work ethic, positive attitude, the ability to pay attention to detail, and be able to lift 50 pounds.
Prior harvest experience is preferred, but not mandatory.
Compensation is dependent on prior experience.
