Hospitality and DTC Manager
We are seeking an experienced Hospitality and DTC Manager for our family owned and operated Estate. We are a spectacular family-owned vineyard and winery estate located in the Russian River Valley in Windsor, CA. We are passionate about customer relationships, creating memorable experiences for our guests, caring for the Estate by farming sustainably and making award winning wines. We offer a variety of tour and tasting experiences with plenty of open space to allow for safe, welcoming, vibrant business during these times. We respect our heritage and are building the best vineyard and winemaking team in the Sonoma Valley.
The right candidate will have a history in winery hospitality management and of growing direct to consumer sales across all channels. Experience with hospitality, wine club, event planning, social media, email marketing and online sales is required.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Manage and develop our tasting room team (i.e. provide leadership, staff training, one-on-one coaching, SOP development and ongoing wine education)
Balance the delivery of a memorable experience for all guests with effective 'hands-on' team leadership.
Ensure all winery events are staffed and supervise event execution.
Deliver sales results and provide project management across all direct to consumer channels, including wine club and consumer events.
Develop and manage the annual direct to consumer marketing calendar, including digital marketing materials including e-blasts, printed product releases, holiday offers, annual promos, etc. and event marketing.
Participate in regular leadership calls and team meetings.
Measuring and managing DTC channel success through key metrics and indicators.
Reporting weekly and monthly DTC results to owners.
The Hospitality and DTC Manager will require some weekend work and attending of evening events.
At least 5 years of experience in a leadership role in winery hospitality and DTC industry.
Proven success in developing a team and growing direct to consumer sales, within the winery hospitality and DTC industry.
Bachelors Degree or equivalent.
Financial management experience tracking budget to actual performance against key tasting room metrics (visitor traffic, wine sales, wine club sign-ups).
Experience in coaching teams to success with an emphasis on achieving goals.
Exceptional customer service skills.
Creativity and innovation in marketing.
Awareness of the importance of social media engagement practices and rankings.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Knowledge of workplace safety procedures.
Understanding the compliance of direct shipping requirements & laws relating to serving, selling and shipping wine.
Proficient use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook).
Working knowledge of DTC (Direct to Consumer) POS sales practices.
Ability to lift 50 lbs and have a valid CA. driver's license with driving record approved by our insurance provider and be determined fit for work by pre-employment physical (paid for by employer).
