Benessere Vineyards is a small, family owned boutique winery where we celebrate the gracious lifestyle and comfortable pace of wine country while specializing in "Italian Varietal Wines, Rooted in Napa Valley". The winery and vineyards are located just off Highway 29, midway between St. Helena and Calistoga. We pride ourselves on providing great wines and a hospitable environment in which people may truly relax and enjoy themselves.

Job Description:
Provide dynamic, engaging, gracious, sincere, educational, positive and memorable experiences to all guests that visit Benessere Vineyards. The person in this position is energetic, detail oriented, has a passion for wine and thoroughly enjoys engaging with people via tastings and on guided tours to promote wine sales and Wine Club membership to guests with varying levels of wine knowledge.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Have the ability and confidence to lead groups on a vineyard and cellar tour with an educational focus
* Assist with open and closing duties in the tasting room as needed
* Open, taste, smell and pour wines to ensure quality
* Make sure all wine, merchandise, brochures and sales collateral handouts are fully stocked at the end of the day
* Clean and tidy up the tasting room (wipe down counters, empty garbage, check bathrooms, straighten photos, etc.)
* Organize patio at the end of the day (bus all glassware, pick up garbage, chairs straight, tables cleaned, etc.)
* Break down empty cardboard boxes and along with empty bottles, take to recycling
* Accurately handle sales transactions using our POS system (WineDirect)
* Provide and ensure Responsible Beverage Service
* Wash, buff and restock wine glasses making sure the tasting room is stocked at the end of the day
* Maintain company standards of sales and service in tasting room according to the company handbook
* Blow off the patio prior to opening using either the blower or a broom
* Communicate professionally via phone, email, and with handwritten notes with all customers
* Assists with special events
* Assist with winery projects, ranging from hospitality to administrative duties as requested

QUALIFICATIONS
* Knowledge of wine, wine industry and Napa Valley in general
* Comfortable with public speaking and guiding tours, hosting both small and large groups
* Be able to communicate effectively with a diverse range of guests and employees in a friendly and informed manner
* Work as part of a team in a courteous and respectful manner at all times
* Professional appearance (dress code according to company handbook), upbeat demeanor and positive nature
* Understand and accurately follow written and verbal instructions
* Ability to multi-task and prioritize responsibilities
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suites (Outlook, Word, Excel)
* Available to work weekends, weekdays, some holidays and occasional evenings
* Available to work up to 8 hours in a day, with occasional overtime
* 21 years or older

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE
* Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
* Climb stairs repeatedly
* Repetitively lift 40 lbs on a daily basis (case of wine)
* Set-up and break down tables, chairs and settings for group tastings, events and appointments
