Job Description:

Vintage Wine Estates is a collection of vintner family-owned winery estates and brands based in Santa Rosa, California. We are an industry leader across all sales channels and dedicated to providing wine consumers with a range of wine selections from $10 to $100 dollars. Vintage Wine Estates is a dynamic, growing organization seeking Full-Time Tasting Room Sales & Hospitality Associate's to join our Laetitia Vineyard & Winery room team. Customer service is central in our culture, with focus on both our external and our internal customers.

The ideal candidates will be out-going, magnetic and approachable individuals who are passionate about customer service, sales and building relationships. Wine knowledge is preferred but not required. Professionals with bar-tending and/or restaurant experience are highly desirable. Must be willing to work weekends and holidays. Scheduled days and hours may vary by location.



ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Greet all visitors and pour wines for tasting
Create a memorable experience for guests
Sell wine and wine club memberships based on monthly goal
Describe wines and winery history; answer visitors’ questions about wines
Provide general tourist information
Handle routine sales transactions that include operating the register and accounting of daily sales
Assist with display and stocking of retail items and wines
Assist in maintaining cleanliness of facilities
Assist with special events as needed
Represent winery at outside functions as needed
Acquire and maintain thorough knowledge of winery and its wines
Understand and properly process winery specific order requests
Prepare food for wine pairings
Perform other duties as assigned by Manager
QUALIFICATIONS:

Wine related experience helpful and knowledge of wines and wine production
TIPS and CA Food Handler Certifications preferred, but not required
Professional appearance and demeanor
Commitment to excellence and high standards
Evidence of superior sales performance preferred

Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work in an evolving environment with enthusiasm


REQUIRED SKILLS:

Excellent verbal communication skills
Excellent presentation skills
Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
Ability to manage priorities and workflow
Proficient on the computer (familiar with POS systems, Microsoft Office)
Excellent customer service skills
Demonstrated ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts and percentages
Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions
PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

Must be at least 21 years of age
Must be able to bend, squat, climb, push, stoop and crouch repeatedly
Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods as required by job duties
Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs on a regular basis
Coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously


SCHEDULE REQUIREMENTS:

Must be able to work nights, weekends and holidays
