Job Description:

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Martinelli Winery is an established, family-owned winery located in the Russian River Valley specializing in estate grown Chardonnay, Pinot, Zinfandel, and Syrah. The Tasting Room and Direct Sales Associate is responsible for providing a memorable brand experience, superb service, and helpful sales order support to our members through multiple channels. This position offers a unique opportunity to work with both the DTC and Tasting Room Managers to execute against revenue/case targets, key initiatives and projects related to the direct sale and customer service channels. This position is full-time, and will work 40 hours per week.
TASTING ROOM
•  Host guests for tastings
•  Process shipping orders
•  Assist with the set-up and execution of all member events throughout the year, including but not limited to greeting visitors, pouring wines for tasting and handling wine purchase transactions
•  Process new member sign-ups, directly contact members to clarify requests or information when needed
•  Maintain tasting room calendar, responding to customer requests and inquiries, scheduling tasting appointments, collecting credit card information
•  Assist with Tasting Room collateral; menus, order forms, wine lists
•  Perform monthly and weekly inventory counts ensuring accurate inventory management
•  Other duties as assigned
CUSTOMER RELATIONSHIP & DIRECT SALES
•  Receive and respond to member inquiries, special requests, orders, and cancellations – via email or telephone – with strong follow-up and customer service, in a timely manner.
•  Adhere to “best practice” brand standards and procedures to enhance consumer relationship-building efforts and direct channel sales.
•  Handle customer concerns in a positive, expedient manner
•  Daily communication via phone/email with members and fulfillment house regarding the status of shipment, billing, and special handling or orders
•  Proactively troubleshoot issues with club shipment and/or customer complaints in a professional manner
•  Manage and maintain the accuracy of members’ profile
•  Contact and update invalid / bounced email recipients
•  Manage list of expired/declined credit cards, contact members for updated credit card information and canceling members where appropriate for Concierge List shipments

QUALIFICATIONS
•  AA or Bachelor’s Degree or an appropriate combination of education and experience
•  Strong phone, email and in-person communication skills with customers and team members
•  Proficient in MS Word and Excel
•  Experience with ShipCompliant, UPS WorldShip and Winery CRM software (ideally WineDirect)
•  Works well in a team environment
•  Must be able to sit at a desk for long periods of time and able to lift up to 50lbs
